51:51 – The Chaos Warriors unit with 8 remaining but 115 kills:
Weeks ago, they had been just Vanaheimlings, fleeing from the wrath of Slaneshi troops that overran their homelands. Then, Vilitch gathered them around his flag when he started to march upon the dark citadel those wretched followers of ecstasy had erected on their proud home and called Doomkeep. Of course, they fought them. But it wasn't until the march to the place that the Nordheimers had stolen from them prior that they would become an exceptional unit. Where even those units marked by Tzeench himself faltered and retreated, about a hundred of them stayed strong and pushed forward into enemy lines. Outnumbered at least two to one, if not twice that, their heavy fur-wrapped feet hit the packed snow in the tiny forest as they threw themselves into the fray. Their great axes split head after head, painting the snow red, and even as their own died under the spears and swords of the enemy, they held strong. Their numbers dwindled slowly, but for each of their own that fell, at least one, if not two of the enemy horde was cut down. As their numbers had dropped to a mere 40 or such, even their lord himself fought with them, the showers of magic giving them the resolve to stand against numbers far greater than their own. Unbent and unbroken, they stood till just 20 of them remained. Nodding harshly, they handed their banner to their youngest, and half of them charged forward, into the sure embrace of death while the rest retreated to secure the banner with the other half. But they did not leave – the 8 that managed to extract the tattered flag from the wood quickly gathered themselves and awaited the next order to charge just a couple hundred yards away from where the last enemies fell. An order that never came. In the following looting, they enacted heavy revenge on the wounded that were left on the battlefield – and soon they would be known under a new name and gifted with a new banner, decorated with a lock of hair from all those Vanaheimlings that fell in their rows. From that day on, they were known as Bjornlings' Revenge
Oof.. party being a bit total war rusty eh? Those sieges with the towers can be punishing if you take your time and don't destroy the towers. All those arrows add up.
52:00 These Warriors of Chaos survived so narrowly and fought so frantically I think they deserve a NAME
The Mad Beheaders
This land is full of wonder, mystery and danger. Some say, to surive it, one must be a madman. Which, luckily, these warriors are
Give the Metal Sorc the Golden Hounds spell. it is great if you can aim with it. And please remember, spells do inflict friendly fire. How often you heavly damaged your own troops (avoidable) isn´t even funny anymore.
name suggestion Hezxus the Black to (Hezxus The Iron Storm) 51:14 287 kills
I pronounce Tzeentch as Zeench. I also pronounce the name of your sorcerer as Jeffery or Jeff.
Hey Party, loving your TW content, keep 'em coming. I have a question though – what graphics preset and visual mods (if any) are you using? Because the game, and especially the campaign map, looks absolutely stunning! Would love to have my game look like this. Cheers!
Maybe im wrong but i think it would be better at the start to mark the cavalry first. They could make more use of the barrier than infantry.
I wish they made it so Tzeentch chaos sorcerers could have access to more winds. Why are we limited to just Tzeentch and Metal for the followers of the god of magic? Why can't I have a Chaos Sorc of fire or death or shadow?
@45:04 that's what she said
(Sorry)
Thanks for these videos, random question but does the defence building chain for the Dark Fortress give you any Tzeetchy stuff for defenders like Marked Warriors or Horrors? I noticed the main settlement only gave you Undivided units. Small thing I know!
pro tip: since you seem to let cav + screamers die so often, just use them for chasing off routing enemies. They won't take damage and your opponent's units won't rally and come back to kill you.
I say Zeench, with a long E sound, but I say it with my tongue starting where I would to say T. I feel like the T at the start of Tzeentch should be pronounced a bit like the T in Tsar.
i like the way Vilitch talks to the player as if you are Thomin
Like with Tsunami, I pronounce Tz together.
Then EE not in.
So Tz-EE-n-tsh
as a big Tzeentch fan this is one of my fav Lets Play on YT, really like it.
Man, I thought my first playthrough would be festus but these vids are making me reconsider.
I also like how you title your vids.
It's very on brand for Tzeentch to write his name one way only to have it pronounced differently just to confuse people.
I think the best way to treat Screamers is as flying warhounds with a taste for massive units like giants or isolated characters. If they are sent against infantry alone, they will more often than not loose.
I've always heard Tzeentch pronounced with a long "E." But since the short "I" pronunciation is unexpected and therefore chaotic, so I guess it's appropriate. (I'm still going with TzEEntch over TzINtch, though.)
I'm sorry I don't mean this again you personally but FUCK how many people got access to this before everyone else. If Immortal Empires is ready at least give us that before 23rd (bit late now as it's right around the corner) but we're all getting a "Beta" of it or so it sounded like or they're going to call it that for a while until they sort all the bugs out. BUT ok Giving you Immortal Empires FINE
but did they seriously have to give all you guys the DLC too =/ Like what is the point of having a release date when you have every TW Warhammer person getting access when they're viewers and subs are prob the same people subbing to all their fav warhammer people?! XD Yeah ok "free" advertisement but you get that when you guys also play the game when it's out and people are not going to NOT buy Immortal Empires cause it's FREE ugh I'm ranting and raving now whatever hope you're having fun 😛
1237-
The proper pronunciation is “TZEEEEEEEEENNNNTTCCcCHHHh!”
nice dude
Hezxus is pronounced Jesus spanish style, like "Hey Zues".
