Correction to what I say at 9:45 — That should have been *billions* of course, not millions! Sorry about that.

Today we’ll talk a new explanation for the interstellar object Oumuamua, what’s up with the W-boson anomaly, two new institutes founded by NASA, an airplane powered by hydrogen, a gigapixel 3D microscope, vaccinations without the needles, concrete that talks, nano-labels, and of course the telephone will ring.

  1. I've given many injections with those high-pressure guns and also taken a few. They're more painful than needles, and if the victim flinches or tenses up, it can make a nasty little cut. The new one appears much better.

  2. It's pretty ridiculous that Avi Loeb is getting trashed by other scientists for following the evidence and making a completely valid hypothesis based on it. I don't understand the glee at which scientists do mental gymnastics to refute any evidence that points to possible non human technology. It's almost like they want it to be true that no other intelligent life exists besides us.

  3. 2011 data gets nearer the SM? wtf.
Anyway, to explain a 7 sigma deviation they will always invoke additional SU(2)L Higgs doublets, OR vector-like fermion SU(2)L triplets, OR vector-like top partners, OR leptoquarks, OR singlet-doublet fermion pairs, OR scalar SU(2)L triplets and quadruplets, OR right-handed neutrinos, OR Z′ and extra vector bosons, OR FIMP dark matter modes, OR U(1)Lμ−Lτ modes, OR vectorlike quarks, OR canonical scotogenic neutrino-dark matter modes, OR U(1)Lμ−Lτ vector-like leptons, OR a top-down motivated model in which extra states come from a D3-brane, OR implications for electroweak baryogenesis and Chameleon dark energy, OR hadronic uncertainty and electroweak precision tests OR…
They'll never abandon the SM model…unless it's under 5 sigma, so it can attract more funding for"intriguing" experiment beyond the SM. After all this time, I'm wise to their ploys. I still don't accept they've found a Higgs boson at 125 GeV, WHICH THEY HAD TO DUAL. sINCE THERE IS NO hIGGS FIELD- IT'S THE PHOTONIC CHARGE- SO i KNOW THEY'RE MAKING IT UP.

  4. Does anyone notice that as Sabine gets older, she got more beautiful?, was always cute. This woman ages by getting prettier. We just love you and your wit and a guy who i mentioned you to is now an addict. Thank god there is a long list of vids on the site. For those of us who like to follow all areas of science, we love this kind of content.

  5. Sabine, you don't know Oumuamua emitted particles. No-one knows if it did or not. It's annoying when smart people take assumptions as facts (when it suits their preconceived views).

  6. Best of luck for Ground news.
All of the platforms that claim to avoid media bias which I have encountered in the past have a distinct right leaning bias.
Not sure if this is intentional, or a result of the type of users they attract?
It is kind of strange to me for instance that any media outlet gets a "left" label.
Aside from Mother Jones, IGD news and few very obscure sources I am not aware of any leftist news outlets?
Most of the ones that are described as such are better labeled centrist.
They are trying to balance their presentation so as to offend the least amount of people and retain all of their advertising revenue.
contrast this with OAN and similar who are perfectly happy to offend and limit themselves to advertisers who are on the same end of the ideological spectrum.
Of course I am also presuming that the Democrats are centrist, not left. And the Republicans are far right.
But I'm just college educated on political science and have a broader understanding of what Left and Right represent than red team blue team.

  7. Hi Sabine, if you want to debate me on the effects/affects of CO2. I will be up for that. I will be absolutely up for astrophysics and quantum entanglement after that. They will be discussions.
CO2 being a pollutant will be a definite first. As costing trillions and Africans are still drinking their own sewage.
