Spanish moss was used to stuff both pillows and mattresses as well. They would kill the chiggers (red bugs) first by treating the moss with nicotine or caffeine. The nasty thing about chiggers is that they lay eggs in your skin pores, which hatch out in a few days. That is what causes the itching. The larvae is what causes the itch, and is not from a bite. You treat the itch by putting clear nail polish on the spots. It smothers them. Pretty nasty 🙂
You keep saying 10 digit dialing vs. 7 digit dialing. You can still dial seven digits if you're calling from the same area code as your phone. Call call someone in the town you're living in, using seven digits. As long as your phones area code (first 3 digits) is the same as where you are, there is no need for 10 digit dialing.
I was there Saturday and 8 was in the queue but the ride broke down so I missed my last ride I'm not riding the new one because I'm not excited about it
The siren is for the building in front of it which is fire dept,most likely volunteer alot of small towns barely have budget for police much less fire dept.
Living in Alabama, you’re 100 % correct these towns are everywhere. Just abandoned and left for…who I don’t really know. In the early 90s Walmart started building Supercenters closer to the interstates and completely changed the small towns in the south. Now, most commerce takes place away from the old part of town.
My son lived in Center Hill for a short period around 10 years ago. I thought the area was nice and quiet. I traveled through there last year while visiting my sister and not much had changed in 10 years. Thanks for sharing.
This is my hometown, (center hill) lol our population is more like 4,000 =) those goats in your video are usually on that couch. i thought you guys where so brave to go near these houses we are all usually branding weapons lol i moved here from the city to get away from the hustle and bustle of the MIA and its awesome. allot of us use clothes lines, lol we did have a train than ran through the city of center hill, my property is on top of where the train used to go through, it was green bean city. and i have collected a few train nail stakes.
