A heavy-duty radar system is designed to detect objects, whether they are in motion or stationery, in blind spots. It provides operators in the cab with visual and auditory warnings. These warning systems are particularly useful in challenging working conditions with limited visibility, such as snow, smoke, fog, dust, and darkness. Radar systems are available in various sizes for different equipment types.
They come in both fixed detection and fully programmable units, allowing the operator to adjust the beam spread from 2m to 10m (6.5ft – 33ft) in width and 3m to 30m (10ft – 98ft) in length. Additionally, they can be set to avoid fixed objects or bodywork.
