Railroad conductors and engineers are allowed to work 276 hours per month. That is over 9 hours a day 365 days of the year. The railroad companies only allow for one call out a month for these employees and will fire anyone who exceeds that. The union asked for a revised attendance policy and some paid sick time. The PEB decided that they only wanted to make recommendations about pay and health insurance. This has to get resolved. We cannot continue to allow this slave labor type of approach for American workers.
