Another banger! Jason from DCFC is one of my heroes, the king of really subtle grooves. My buddies and I played this one in our band back in high school.
Love jamming to this one. My favorite part is the dynamics drop in the second verse.
Jason McGerr is one of the most underrated drummers of all time! So many unique and intricate beats he lays down in death cab songs.
Jeff, at a time when so many drummers are trying to cram as many notes as possible into every measure, play as fast as possible, and play parts that are so mathematically complex that you’d think a supercomputer wrote them, you’re playing and groove is a much needed breath of fresh air and reminds us of what the original purpose of drumming is and why we got into it in the first place. Thank you!
