  1. WRONG Castkevania 64 isn't the greatest Castlevania game to ever rage too. That title goes to Castlevania mobile. No not the smartphone castlevania ports. The cellphones of old. Castlevania 64 is a masterpiece compare to this game. That game is called Castlevania: Order of Shadows. Yes that game is CANON to the timeline. I dare you to play Castlevania: Order of Shadows. You'll learn real quick to see Castlevania 64 as a masterpiece. But Castlevania: Order of Shadows is 2D classic Castlevania? Oh but you'll love the controls and the hit box that shouldn't be hitting you at all. Did I say that this game starring Desmond Belmont is canon? As you play with Desmond, you'll start to think what the hell Konami was thinking. As the way Desmond Belmont walks, that somehow walks odd in motion speed compare to the classic. You'll wonder if he have a broom up his a**. Final boss Dracula is even better, complete boring. Where hit detection really doesn't make since at all. Making Castlevania 64 a masterpiece compare to Order of Shadows. You hate the N64 controls? You'll hate the mobile controls even more. In all seriousness. If Castlevania 64 Konami was smoking crack. Than Order of Shadows, Konami was on purple pills. The Nintendo logo illegal drugs that came out on the EU at the time. Yes that drug was a thing, it was called Nintendo. Than again you might be able to make order of Shadows play better on an emulator by mapping the buttons. But it won't save it with the awful hit detections.

  2. I remember playing the goofy multiplayer for this game for hours. >< I think of all the Castlevania games, I've played this one the most by far. It was so nice to watch this play through and hear all the familiar soundtracks again. Thanks for the upload!

  3. I'm like a hundred percent sure he made that Dullahan boss way harder than it needed to be. lol
I haven't played this game in a while, but didn't he have the right idea to go for the head, before just dropping it for some reason?

  4. Portrait of Ruin is my favorite of the DSvanias. I really like the dynamic between the two MCs Jonathan and Charlotte.
Also, I like it when you play other Castlevania games, especially the less mainstream ones like Harmony and Portrait.

I always played the opposite. Since Charlotte has higher MP regen, you can set Jonathan to stay as attack support, doing that higher base damage, while Charlotte charges spells to devastating effect, especially with the right accessories. I had spells nearly one shot destroying all but the toughest of enemies, and insane damage to those surviving, usually Jonathan often finished them off (this tactic was especially enjoyable when equipped with Nebula [Holy] Whip). It was a more strategic combat style, for certain, but, I do like to slow down and think my way through it.

I also like the contrarian approach as well, focusing on unorthodox tactics.

  6. I love PoR. I replayed it so much I know some tips for bosses, or specifically how to avoid damage.

Dullahan: Attacking the head while it tries to grab it prevents the dangerous attacks it does.

Keremet: You can make a teammate stay to attack the pot continously, while you attack Keremet itself. Since the teammate is attacking the pot, Keremet will target that character instead. In Richter Mode, I recommend Maria for pot smacking.

Astarte: Astarte's green attack can be slid under or ducked without damage, even though it looks like it would. Also, Old Axe Armor is actually a girl, so the heart attack can be avoided.

Dagon: In normal mode, you can divekick or just swim above Dagon to avoid the water spew attack. In Richter Mode, you can use Maria's turtle shell to block it entirely.

Death: During one of the attacks, it creates 4 portals with one hand coming out to grab you. If ot does, you have to suffer a devastating attack. But, worry not. Summon a Teammate (Hopefully Johnathan) and switch to them and use a lot of Sub Weapons to damage the hands.

Whip's Memory: In the stage where Medusa is, there is a whip somewhere that does Dark Damage, a counter against Richter. If you don't have it, you can get Pie, a Dark Subweapon in the City of Haze.

If there are more bosses with ways to dodge or avoid hard attacks entirely, please reply.
