  1. Looking back back on my 30 year career as a Conservation Warden I wouldn't change a second– until I saw this segment. It makes me wish I had spent some years in my youth before wearing gray living the life of a wilderness guide. Those memories would be priceless. Exceptional episode- well done Randy.

  2. Awesome! Loved the whole segment, but the end kind of got to me about looking back. I was lucky enough to be an Alaska fishing guide outfitter from 85 to 90 along with Wrangling elk camp in Colorado before that. I ended up moving on to other things in life, but there hasn't been hardly a day that I haven't looked back to those wonderful times & years. I'm now 67 and have realized those times of my younger years were the best I ever spent. Oh, to be young again–I'd do it all over again in a nano-second. Advice to these great people–Build the memories now while you can, live the moment to the fullest and don't be in a hurry to get to the looking back-stage!

  3. Wow Randy thank you for sharing all these behind the scenes experiences that most people don't even think about. These are definitely some dedicated hard working folks in a high quality operation. I wish I was young enough to do that kind of hunt.

  4. This video was without a doubt one of your best presentations.
This guiding crew are one of the most positive, humble, and honestly happy to have earned their job & be with clients that I have seen in a long time!
    Great job Randy!

  5. Randy, it's awesome that you included the people behind the scenes so to speak. Reminded me of going on a guided elk hunt, south of Meteetsee Wyoming, with my dad 40 some years ago. With out them I wouldn't have been successful. And they became family. Awesome 👌 👏 👍

  6. Well done Randy! I enjoyed the view of those that make it happen and appreciate that you took the time to let them share just a little piece of their lives. Nice work. Hunting is not just filling a tag and this video captures much of what is truly most special about the trips we take and the places we go. Cheers!

  7. I hunted with Bill McKenzie when he owned Gana River and met Harold also as the purchase was being consummated by Harold. Two very fine individuals. Been 3 times for dall sheep and al/yu moose. All back pack hunts and got one of each with a wolf. Great place and people

  8. Wonderful episode! I’m 56 now…..watching those young folks brought me a sense of nostalgia, a time in my life without a care in the world and my whole life ahead of me! Nothing but positive and optimistic energy from the entire crew! Great outfit and beautiful country! Thanks for sharing!

  9. Randy, this was the best thing you could have done. We get to hear from these folks about their own lives and how they love what they do. Thank God they are young enough to have many more years and adventures ahead of them. The sheep and Caribou will always be there. If I could, I’d be right there. The great and simple life.
