  1. If you fail a stupidity test with mortis , you have to run 8( fly 8) or 16 ( as if you marched)?🤔
On your example about combat resolution for black orcs, I think you got +7 in a duel with a dragon, but dragon got kill +5 + close order, so you don’t win combat , it’s a tie!

  2. So this podcast did NOT produce an invalid audio file (progress!), however it looks like it only posted an episode that is 4 minutes long, so us podcast listeners are missing the remaining 80 minutes =(

  3. Seems like a clever way with the grave Guard. Have the two front ranks with the actual weapons. Should be enough along with making it clear at the start of the game?

I would also probably make a second unit, lol.. But I understadn why people don´t..

  4. So in the last tournament I shared with Brett, he bunkered the strigoi into the GG and just beat up on stuff that dared touch the unit for points, while raising the zombies up. It's basically points denial backed up by screams, and it netted him 3rd/23.

For tomb kings the thought is that with enough poison bow shots and cursed blades you can one-volley stuff like giants/ghorgons/sphinxes. He doesn't have enough bows in that list to do it, but it is an interesting thing to think about. Also, barely anyone ambushes Scorps over vanguard move pressure. Also also, I'm right about bowshabti being top of S in mort cult lol.

Having played Danny's daemons last week with my dwarf list, he does the gift of mutation and lowers the toughness, and then slings tons of spells/shooting into the unit. It was a bit of a shock and really interesting to see in action.

And for my own list. First, my name is very Irish, so it's not a Canadian thing lol. The list name is inspired by gotrek, the AoS model being what I use for the king on shield. For the runesmith, I kinda want to keep it cheap, as he's one of easiest ways to bleed some points. The frontage is 8 wide with the runesmith (to negate mirage as mentioned, and give the armourbane and flaming); you need to kill 10 warriors to drop the rank bonus once, and a whole lot to drop it a second time (it's also only 2 out of the 6 total static res). The unit is pretty wide, but I don't have many other units that need to maneuver. The cart is supposed to be in Special, but Old world builder has it in core for some reason and I forgot to manually change it; the list does have 500 minimum core. Hitting that core minimum is the point of the quarrelers; give a little extra shooting, make the list legal, and give up a minimum of points when they inevitably die. Defensively the only difference between them and long beards is WS 5, so it's definitely a taste thing on how to fill that last bit. The whole thought was that the big block is where the points are; the rest of the list comes up to about 750. The doomseeker is there to subtract from the total points they can get, make some frustrating decisions for the opponent, maybe kill some flanking units, and die lol. It's pretty simple to play, and after doing a lot of tournaments with mortuary cult, I want the break. Especially with 4 rounds on day 1.
