  1. Curious question, so what did this supposed “surface defect” actually do to the plane that warrant it from having safety issues? OP rambled on about the defect but didn’t put out the issues itself.
OP mentioned other carriers experience the same issues.
    Who are those carriers?

  2. Hi!! I’m an Airbus fanboy and since this manufacturing/finishing defect is on Airbus rather than Boeing, I’m going to praise any European courts that sided with the European plane maker and act like Qatar did something wrong, like flew their A350’s in a manner that would’ve caused the paint to alligator and peel.
But, as I always do with every nothing “Boeing problem” video that’s got more to do with supply chain than anything with Boeing itself, I’m going to chime in, claim to be an aerospace aficionado rather than just a mommy’s basement dweller, and make wild assertions in a matter of factly manner. Bye for now!!
Mom!! Momma?!? MOMMY?!?!?! Where’s my Spaghetti-O’s and Kool-Aid?!?!?!

  3. What happened was: 1) Qatar's lawyers advised Ali Baba, sorry Al Baker, that they would lose the case. 2) Macron advised the Emir of Qatar that the dispute was undermining Qatari – French relations over a bogus legal claim. 3) Qatar never anticipated that their orders for both wide and narrow bodies would be cancelled by the manufacturer, and would have been a serious handicap to their future without those aircraft. And 4), Qatar Airways had only intended to get a retrospective discount of billions, to compensate for Covid, but never originally anticipated a court case and the inglorious result that would have embarrassed the Emir in front of the world.

Airbus unexpectedly called Al Baker's bluff all the way, and The Emir eventually reined in the angry narcissist, to allow peace to suddenly blossom. All was forgiven on both sides publicly, no one lost face (if you don't look too closely into Al Baker's blank expression😀), and everyone lived happily ever after. Oh, except the many staff employed by Qatar Airways from the Third World, whose passports are often confiscated (apparently) and who are treated like serfs…😀…

  4. So Al Baker grounded planes as UNSAFE then suddenly sprang them back to action? Qatar overplayed its hand bigly and Al Baker’s bluff was called. Big oil money and big egos didn’t get their way.

  5. I do agree that while surface defects didn't pose an immediate danger, I do understand Qatars position because from the looks of the pictures the wire mesh was exposed and right underneath that is the carbon fiber body itself which is being exposed to the elements, which in turn will cause accelerated wear and tear. If I was a passenger stepping onto that aircraft which looked like it was in a state of disrepair I wouldn't feel comfortable at all. Also Qatar forks out millions for the planes and than the skin starts peeling off hell I would return them also.

  6. I think this video is probably missing the most crucial point…we now lnow that 787s suffers from the same issues the a350 – is Qatar Aviation Authority or Qatar Airways grounding their 787 fleet?

In my opinion, the whole Qatar Airways Vs. Airbus had probably more to do with airline's deals with Boeing…

  7. They thought money is everything….its shame and foolishness act to go against Aircraft manufacturer rather than settling in mature way…!!!!

The best airline now and then in the middle east who care about their employees is no doubt the EMIRATES…❤❤❤

  8. QR has a very good point on safety and comfort. The paint issues on the A350 is definitely an issue that airbus should have taken seriously.
It’s like buying your new expensive smartphone, first time using it you find that it does not charge and manufacturer says – that’s not an issue, can’t return it.

  9. You forgot to mention the hammering Qatar Airways received in court when they could not provide evidence of the Qatari Civial aviation authority grounding the plane and it was done by AAB himself.

  10. How much Boeing paid you??
You never fails to undermine Airbus or A350's. It's been a shame for Boeing for it's defective 777x's and also losing all of its 787's, 777's market share to A350. So dig on Boeing's failure not Airbus' success!!
