After a month-long strike, Canada Post workers are back on the job today.
However, this does not mean Christmas parcels or cards will arrive on time.
Experts tell CHCH News that the backlog of existing mail, combined with new items coming in now, will take months to clear before the system is back to normal.
If you opt for Canada Post, your packages won’t arrive in time for Christmas, as the backlog of mail will take months to process.
Experts agree it will take a while before postal services return to normal and that delays can be expected well into the new year.

Typical union posties striking at Christmas! Sorry, no sympathy for you!
punks got orders and not a second to soon
"While Canadian consumers sympathize with Canada Post workers…"
The only Canadian consumers that sympathize with CUPW are the fellow non-workers in the public sector and a few well-meaning but deluded allies. No one else has any patience or use for those clowns.
Good. I'm glad those greedy workers are forced to go back to work. Taking advantage of the holiday season to demand a 24% raise is ridiculous. I hope they get nothing
There should not be any public service unions .
Trump is gonna privatize the US Postal Service. A potential PM Poilievre will likely do the same with Canada Post lol.😂😂
Are they really prioritizing those mail to deliver ? I am not happy to see just JUNK mail were delivered in my mailbox today !
