  1. Fire every last one of them and re hire. Doing this during the Xmas season is just pathetic. And the cost to send parcels with Canada post is out of hand. Wiesels in this union.

  2. Honestly, they are way overpaid for the work they do. I hope they dont get much of a raise. They don't deserve it. They deserve just as much raise as of a delivery driver or a warehouse worker would make. Pulling this stunt right before the holidays is a B move.

  3. Canada post is already operating at a loss, how does the union expect them to stay in business when labour and benifts are already 60% of operating costs with continuously shrinking income. Their jobs are gone once Canada post gets shut down.

  4. I have been waiting for my Christmas parcels since the beginning of November. Purolator does not help by holding my parcels hostage for the last 3 weeks just because Canada Post has an agreement with them. This is insane!

  5. My father might miss my WEDDING because he can’t get his passport for the post office😢 thank you for holding everything as hostage. Your company is not making money and you are loosing business by going on strike so I don’t see how you will get a raise. 本当に間に合わなかったらまじで呪ってやるよ

  6. YOUR NOT THE CHEAPEST. I own 3 shops that purchase $2 million in product every year. We’re doing fine with the couriers. We barely ever use Canada post.
Actually, before the strike some of our parcels mistakingly went to Canada post and they were hung up there forever and we lost business because of them.

  7. There are 55 000 out of 73 525 employees. That means 25% is management and no cuts aimed at that 25% ??? What other company has 25% management?
That 25% is getting full pay and bonuses for managing nothing during strike.
Canada Post owns other courier companies like Purolator so top brass are making even more money during strike.

  8. Canada Post is hemorrhaging money each year, how do they expect raises, better health care, etc. They literally need to change their whole model. In this economy they should be happy that they at least have jobs.

  9. Its not like if the strike ended now that Canada post would be getting any packages out by Christmas. They couldnt get things out on time before the strike. If it ended today, it will be april before theyre caught up

  10. @merakis100 says he doesn't care about small businesses!!! This postal worker claims that small businesses took advantage of his cheap labour for years!!
TAX PAYERS don't feel sorry for this type of federal employee's.

  11. I say we would save money just by laying off all employees with severance and tell them to move on. Cancel the union. Hire ppl who are happy with the wage they are offered. They strike every 2 yrs at Christmas.! Do away with canada post. Let purilator fex ex and ups get larger
