The union representing Canada Post workers has now filed an unfair labour practice complaint to the Canada Industrial Relations Board.
That move comes after Canada Post temporarily laid off some striking employees which the union is calling an intimidation tactic.
The job action is already having a major impact ahead of the busy holiday season and as Catherine Urquhart reports, that includes pivotal donations for charities.

How can I donate when my disability cheque is lost in this mayhem. Stuff like this was said to be delivered regardless. Just more lies! No one associated with this regime, nor unions it would seem, can be trusted to keep their word any longer.

this is true. A friend of mine worked night shift at one of the biggest mail sorting stations in ONt. yrs ago. It was set up so that when you sorted mail and your bag was full, you carried across a huge room to the other side…so everyone knew how much work the others were doing. ON a bad night, my friend would fill 10 bags….on a good one, 15…usually about 12 or 13 bags. The guy who had been there the longest was having a REALLY good night if he managed to fill ONE bag. Then came layoffs…..because it's a union, my friend, who was last in, was first out….he was laid off. The guy who barely managed to do a 12th of the work of my friend was kept on. (why Canada Post is always in a fix)
