This has been a Wild RV Adventure all summer with a lot of boondocking but there are limits. Yukon closes for winter and winter starts early up north! We’ve got to go for several reasons both weather related and legal issues which may arise by October 1st. We’re not Snow Birds but we are going to “migrate” back to Alabama.
It’s September 20th and we have 10 days to make it across the border and stay legal on the roads in Canada. We don’t have M/S tires on the RV so we have to be back in the USA before the October 1 deadline. Everything is closing on us up in Canada and the Yukon so we need to head south.
Getting water for our trip south is proving to be a challenge as the campgrounds in Whitehorse, Yukon are shutting off their water spigots for winter. After calling around we find a place which meets all our needs.
Driving down the Cassiar we enter several wildlife corridors and rainy weather. We see snow on the mountains so we can’t “dilly dally”.
We want to drive across Saskatchewan since we have never been through that province before and it’s “on the way home”. But what are moose doing in the southern part of Canada?
Our RV is a Thor Magnitude so we hope it survives but the views are magnificent, awesome and stunning so the trip is a once in a lifetime event.

RV Camping
We like to “Switch it Up” between resorts and campgrounds and boondocking is always an option.
We draw inspiration from Keep Your Daydream KYD, Less Junk More Journey, Finding Our Someday and Changing Lanes. We normally travel in an HDT similar to YouTube channels Suite Travels and Watts on Wheels. I also get some ideas from the editing style of Happily Ever Hanks (Happilyeverhanks) #thankshanks and believe it or not, I actually learned something from MRBeast Mr Beast video’s as well.
Our journey is the destination. We want to share in our experiences in our discovery of What’s Next.

We use the TSD card for diesel fuel and save a bundle each time we fill up our Big Rig. We also use it to fill up our Onan generator.

Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It’s a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We’ve made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance it’s boondocking capabilities.
Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.
Vehicles:
2016 Volvo VNL780 “Voyager”
2016 Smart fortwo “Pathfinder”
2019 SpaceCraft Custom built semi-trailer 5th wheel “Orion”
2023 Thor Magnitude XG32 Class C “Curiosity”
2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara “Artemis”
Power system:
3250 watts of solar with Panasonic panels
30.1 KWH of Lithium batteries
2- 4K watt Magnum Inverters deliver power as if we are on shore power
2- 4K watt 240v Cotek Inverters deliver additional power for our LG Mini split HVAC and stove
Coachnet is our roadside assistance company we use but hopefully we don’t use them too often. LOL
We are not sponsored by Whataburger but I do enjoy them anytime I can get my hands on one. They used to be just out of Texas but they have expanded.

You might want to consider a more scenic route from Jasper to Calgary via highway AB93, otherwise known as the Icefields Parkway. The Icefields Parkway is open in the winter for travel and sightseeing. Frozen waterfalls and snow laden-peaks make the Icefields Parkway a stunning winter experience. Parks Canada does a great job of keeping the roads clear. It’s a 3.5 hour drive from Jasper to Banff, where you can stop at the Hot Springs to relax, then it’s a further 1.5 hours on the Trans Canada to Calgary. It’s a favorite route of mine, I currently live near Edmonton and travel this route as often as I can.
Love watching your video seeing you go the miles and the smiles laugh at yourself and enjoy the moment
I looked forward to your Alaskan videos. I thoroughly enjoyed tagging along with you two via YouTube. Thank you for the amazing views, the beautiful photography, the good humor and the pleasant attitudes when things needed to be repaired. One aspect of your videos that I really appreciate is the lack of drama. You under-react to the difficulties and emphasize the adventure and the experience. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your fun!!!
Looking forward to watching more!!!
Until you are better paid
THANK YOU
All that scenery is so breathtaking!
If a mouse is not scared of you or a pet it could have Toxoplasma gondii which is not something you want if you can avoid it. Many people get it and do not know but it is not good for you even though many doctors still do not treat it unless you are showing signs.
By far, THE BEST RV/travel channel on YouTube! Thank you for the wonderful narration, breathtaking photos, reality checks, and even all the Arctic jokes shared during your summer travels. Love the fact that you show the great and not so great aspects of RV life. Thankfully, you haven’t “sold out” to Brooklyn Bedding and the rest for product endorsements! Keep up the great work and hope to see you on the road some day, maybe even at a Whataburger! Lol!
That mouse lives in and under your rv…meaning you will soon experience chewed wires and malfunctions…as much as you seem to like the mouse, he gotta go.
Mouse traps are a good thing, in an rv.
Your slide issues are probably due to the mice…mouse plural.
I must say that I much enjoyed this summers worth of videos…wondering if I could haul my three horses on something like this.
How have you guys been enjoying your Ford? Ive been looking into one but I dont know anyone who has one!
I am in Alberta but have never been to Alaska…so close!! You have made my summer vacation plans simple!! Thanks for all the info from your awesome videos!!
Congratulations on a epic trip,Best wishes from Regina Saskatchewan.
what is the aluminum hose in your bedroom and along the floor of your rig? did you figure out how the mice were getting in? we got a mouse in our rig in glacier NP and it was awful how much it pooped in the overnight hours it took us to catch him…he ended up in the bathtub and i stuck a tuperware over him and then we slid a paper plate to be able to remove him and then taped the plate to the lid and stuck him into the bearproof trash can in the campground. first time in 5.5 years of travel that we got a mouse.
If that Thor magnitude is an rs36 it is washer/dryer prepped in the master bedroom closet
Great journey. You two are a perfect match. Just curious if you will be itemizing & sharing total cost for the trip?
Awe I love Whattaburger and where i live we are 700 miles to the nearest one.
Thank you for all beautiful pictures and videos!!
