I personally have yet to even check out this film because I was tapped out on musicals by 2017 and 2018 just with Disney alone. Of course not everything they produce was a musical, but the amount of stuff I used to watch from them as a kid that constantly wanted to add a musical somewhere within the show or the films, I got exhausted of it really quickly.
And some musicals would have song after song after song after song there's barely any regular dialogue in between. Just for me Disney alone completely saturated musicals to the point where I just got sick of watching them. I was like for once, can they just say something normal dialogue and talk like normal people and not break down into song?

I genuinely loved this film😂 cannot remember the last time I watched something and was so genuinely entertained for every single running minute😂 sure some of that entertainment was bewilderment and disbelief, but still!
Please tell me this was a very low budget movie like $40, 4 large pizzas, and using someone phone to record. Because no way this movie should have been in big production XD

Mate, u point out the obvious like its just crap when its the whole point..its true u understood shaun of the dead cos they made it with the thought of it being international but this is thoroughly indulgent english humour and pays no lip synch for anyone but us, that u miss most of the points and the obvious english irony. It really is a triumph for xmas hols..made to be a classic yearly watch of fun.
The zombies being transfixed by the tv is a piss take of a american stoopid idea , you completely miss this yet are a horror reviewer…its taking rhe piss out of dance of the dead..the end teacher piece is a homage to rocky horror show..how can you not see the homage piss take ??? This film is chocker block of mocking other zombie films and british series and you miss them all pretty much..guess u do need to be british…spoof on high school musical 😂😂😂
The characters DONT fall flat, they are all carrying horror tropes…each from a movie that ill let u work out, so not to spoil it for those who havent seen it..dead snow, frozen, return living dead, hole, american beauty etc 😂😂😂
The ball pit is so definitely english its hilarious, as are most of the set pieces.

Favorite little factoid I love about this film. They rented the bowling alley for the day and were asked to not make a mess with the fake blood and gore so they put out tarps everywhere, and it worked great… except for that smooshed head bit as unfortunately all the gore and blood went up and hit the low hanging ceiling. Woops.
This movie had some issues but over all I really loved it, thank you for covering it!
