Every time I watch one of these, I feel like you guys could have really benefitted from the gear and food used by minimalist ultra lightweight backpackers. Something for next time.
Another banger!! Thanks for taking us with you! And don't EVER apologize for a paper shortage AKA what is out of your control! I REFUSE to cheat and look at the ebook, hahal. It's worth the wait, I promise!!
Think of it like Mac & Cheese with Glue….. Sounds delicious…. It's these little word puns that keeps it light and fluffy, but still the episode flies by (see what I did there) and you're sorry it's over already…. š„
Looking at the FPV clips It occured to me there was no drone packing section on the first video in the series. What's Chris flying nowadays? Obvs we can see the R44!
I genuinely love this series. Pretty badass to fly yourself to a remote island and go camping there. Would love to get a PPL and do the same as you guys!
i really hope that one day i can make adventures and videos as amazing as yours. you both really inspire me and im thankful that i found your blogs a couple of years ago.
Same here, I quit making videos as a hobby because I spend so much time in front of the computer for my job, that I can't edit anymore. And yes, bodies are weird.
its amazing to see you guys flying through the area around the same time i drove through it I'm assuming through weather and such.. i cant believe i just found your channel
i envy your guys life of adventure and hope one day ill be able to do something like this! ill watch the skies over Ontario for you, fly safe!
This an arrogant display of human wealth and domination of nature. More dollars than sense. Meanwhile a staggering number of people go hungry on the planet. Some people have no shame.
Its like vanlife but with a helicopter. Love the all the series. What make are the chairs. Ive tried similar looking chairs from amazon but they just aren't that comfortable under the thighs.
Iāve been meaning to ask, did you choose your aspect ratio for this project before you started filming? Or did you settle on an aspect ratio when editing?
If it was option A, which Iād put my money on, did you set your cameras to show the frame size to compose your shots?
I really like your choice of aspect ratio as it gives a more filmic sophisticated vibe compared to the normal 16:9 view of YouTube. Iāve only done one experiment with my anamorphic lens, and it was a PITA to desqueeze and get a wide screen aspect ratio. Iād probably stick with a spherical lens like you. Less brain numbing maths involved.
If you ever look for a ābomb proofā cooker that works well in high wind I highly recommend a Trangia. They are heavy yet work in all temperatures, should you ever camp below zero Celsius.
Funny to be posting this summer adventure while being buried in lake effect snow š final episode of the series next Sunday at 10am ET!
The thumbnail and the panorama are chefs kiss.

I always get so nervous when Chris is flying his drone so close to the helicopter.
So good to see you all able to enjoy your time away. Cool that you can get out away from everything.

Can I land a helicopter anywhere? No, I have no idea how to land a helicopter, I would certainly crash.
