New Vegas achieved a lot things, from its in-depth story to its amazing DLC’s, the game had brought a lot of new stuff to the Fallout franchise. However one of the most important things New Vegas brought, was the introduction of a whole new range of throwable weapons… Naturally this led to the question at hand, is it possible to beat New Vegas whilst only using these said Throwable Weapons?
This video was inspired by the growing amount of “can you beat” Fallout videos which have been spearheaded by both Nerbit and Mitten Squad – I had a really fun time running this challenge.

If you tag explosives and not melee weapons at the beginning Doc Mitchell will give you a bunch of dynamite.

I tries this but used the console to give me a bunch of throwing hatchets, knives and spears. Still not very fun. The MFC grenades and MFC clusters are good though.
MFC clusters would have been more fun.

imagine being one of the ncr heavy troopers you just see a man wearing police suit and throwing grenades whilst drinking soda
You could do this easily if you spec entirely into thrown explosives
Powder Gangers? Crafting bottle cap mines? Buying grenades from Van Graffs Silver Rush? Over 15 minutes to mention silver rush or crafting.. bruh

Next time, dead money. You can walk out with over 2000 throwing spears and the gas cans are crazy in groups.
I've done strange runs in this game. I always go with like 3 INT max because that means the character will be a specialized character instead of having points in everything. Makes the game interesting. Creating a trap/bomb character is super fun
Compared to mitten squad’s “can you beat dead money without taking damage” this is pretty tame
you could have sided with ncr and murder spree legion for throwing spears.

Just wanted to say that you can even beat FO:NV only using the 10 throwing spears that you get thanks to the Tribal Pack from the Courier's Stash.

Grenades do fine, but clusters are very its really at, so op.
So, uh, Jabo me boy. The best place to get throwing spears is actually Dead Money, not just because enemies drop them, but because they are actually craftable. You can get mad stacks of cosmic knives which are the primary ingredient. And ghost people drop them endlessly. AND they do bonus limb damage, meaning you can profit really well from using them to kill ghost people.
This is the only video of this type that I thought would actually be challenging. Everything else you do, like "can you beat fallout with only fists!?!?" Of course you can. It's stupid.
Edit: Nevermind, you're using explosives. This is stupidity easy. Using spears, & tomahawks would actually be interesting.

U basiclly just made an explosion build guy. U should of stuck with melee throwsables like the spears and throwing knives along with the heave ho perk which gives u 30% more throwing range along with a high luck for critical chance or sneak critical for a high sneak along with any damage boosting perks like bloody mess, finesse, Boones luck boosting hate and a maxed out meele skill and use that survival skill to craft poisions. Of course u can beat the game if u throw explosives everywhere dude.
This video makes me want to try an explosives build now.

If there was an easy way to kill Caesar’s legion hit squads with throwables then it’d be easy to get them from them. I farm them all the time for throwables
