The Break Par Series is BACK! And this week we are at the beautiful Whitsand Bay Golf Club. I am joined by PGA Trainee Lee Whittaker in an attempt to shoot under par, in these harsh weather conditions. Do you think either of us can do it?

We play here regularly, and whilst a beautiful setting, the conditions can be brutal. I’ve left the 18th deaf due to the wind, and also seen playing partners want walk off the course after 5 unforgiving holes. In the summer however, and with no wind, it’s a stunner! One of the toughest courses we play. Love the video. Lee smashes that putter!! Thx Dan 👍🏻
The boys are buzzin!! Well done guys! Course looks crazy hard!
Beautiful Golf Course!
Lee hitting his putter as hard as the driver. Top stuff.
Beautiful course and terrific views. Very nice.
I’m in 5m so far. Dan!!! Love those new graphics. Perfection!!!
Now I have a question for TreeLee. Did he buy his pro status or did he earn it? 😂
Really tough front 9 for both of you. Windy links courses are always challenging. Hoping you boys fair better on 5h3 back 9. Cheers.
You bring out the worst in Lee, DH 😂
Greetings Lee from the true Surfers Paradise! 😉
Saved this for my train journey to work in France lad 🤣🤣
Is there no longer a playing test for pga teaching qualifications ?
I can understand why it's Lee's home course. Absolutely stunning, you've got your work cut out breaking par. Roll on part 2.
Lee you should know better than to tempt the golf gods by telling Dan how well you've been playing right before your round. I'm pretty sure they said hold my beer😂
Good to see you and Lee playing Whitsand Bay again, Dan, but that wind and the greens make it all look pretty brutal.
Lee, you totally jinxed your round – never say you've been shooting good scores .. instant card wrecker!
tough track boys but cant help but laugh at break par series and on script LWG starts with a triple! hahahahah omg so funny. (I mean that in a nice way though i love LWG).
Poor Lee…😔
By all accounts the course is unplayable in the summer! Think I heard that a few times 😂. Oh Lee, why do you put yourself through being filmed?! Golf is hard enough!!
The answer is, no you can't break par!!!
Tough conditions, Lee, we've all had rounds like this, head up!
I feel Lee’s pain here. Whenever I tell people I’ve been playing well before a round I always promptly fall flat on my face 🤣
Lee your struggling on camera that’s fine. It’s still watchable content if you keep trying and stay positive. Let your personality show, please lose the negativity. If you keep telling us, (and yourself )you don’t have a short game then your going to find it really hard to find one. We can’t all be Tiger but we can all still enjoy the game……👍
Top notch drone footage, fellas. Lovely course. Any chance of you re-enlisting, Lee? Middle of the ocean could be the safest place in the coming apocalypse 🙂
This is where you need a chipping guru like Gilly or PymDog
Glad to see the old course looking so good. I built the 5th and 6th holes in 1988, the ordinal tees for the 6th hung off the edge of the cliff, quite sad to see it’s falling away from erosion. They came into play in 1989 and replaced the old 7th and 14th holes, removed because you would have to tee off the 8th and 15th over the greens, changed to speed up the pace of play, even a thing in 1988. Lee can ask Gary Dyer all about it, he’ll remember it well. Loving the Whitsand Bay blogs btw, lots of happy memories from there.
Your supposed to be professional golfers but really amateur scores can't keep blaming weather conditions 8th hole par 5 466 yards come on
Dan what is the chipping training aid called
That third hole is just so cool to look at and know the story! I’d be nervous being on that 6th green wondering if today’s the day is slides into the sea! Great views on a tough course!
Great to you and Lee playing together 👍
Lo “if I didn’t have a triple on the 1st….” If I didn’t have triples I’d also score better…🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤣🤣
If I can be 2 over par after 6 then I can go under par for the round. What about 3 over after 1? 😂
Playing greens just like these today, extremely difficult holding the green and the ball going extremely hard left or right away from the hole at the last minute 😮
Lee got super lucky on the first… the ball looks like it pitched and dived deep into the bushes on the full in the video… but luckily bounced back out!
The Torrey Pines of the UK! I wish I could visit!
Dan! WHO is playing on the music break at the 29:45 mark. What a killer jam. Love the show.
