The most hyped game for the Deck is here, and we’re going to try Elden Ring out LIVE. We’ll be testing the latest handheld from Valve in Linux with Proton and in Windows. I’ll be using my overclocked Hackendeck, which has been PROVEN to work just as well as the Steam Deck. If you want the 10 minute version, skip to 2:30:00
We’ll be doing performance analysis across the quality settings, FSR settings, and of course, talking about its Steam Deck Verified status!

Excellent video! Thanks for testing the settings!
And for those just looking for the Recap / tldw 2:30:00
Excellent and very informative, you've got yourself a sub
You need to turn on the in-game overlay in order to see the fps counter…
Steam has been amazing at refunds even if you've played the game for a short while I imagine they will be just as courteous if there's steam deck compatability issues
It better be able to , the Aya Neo has already been shown play it stable at 30fps and can get near 60fps
Nice work 👌
Very playable on steam Deck
I’m a Single player game man, so steam deck will do me, although I’ve a DIY Portable 5700u I already have, where I’ve been swapping SSD’s for Win/Manjaro, (Manjaro is a bit crap for touchscreens, or maybe I just can’t configure it properly for them)
You got wreecct lolz. Only took 2 mins.
Do you have a tpd limit on your device? Still trying to figure out where your bottlenecking.
Both gpu & cpu are well under the max.
Maybe ram?
Any risks related to overheating!??
This game looks bad with the old engine that work on 2cpu most
Lmao, I did the same thing with the pillar in the beginning. Stepped on it and kept running and had to wait for it to come back down.
Cool.
I'm not confident that Steam Deck will play new AAA games for very long. Soon enough a Series S equivalent will be the bare minimum to play those. Will the Steam Deck be able to play Starfield? It will probably "run", but I doubt it will be a good experience.
my rtx 3080 cant beat elden ring, a game that uses spinning 2d bitmaps as trees (…)
