Kyle Crane will not return because in the following dlc in dying light 1 Kyle Crane dies in both endings
what if crane appears in the bloody ties DLC?
No, Kyle Crane cannot return.
Why?
Well, if you actually paid attention to the story line, plot, character development and ending of Dying Light you would already know the answer.
Dying Light 2 takes places years after Crane's death or transformation into the 'Night Hunter'.
Therefore, Kyle Crane cannot return in either case.

You know if we get something to see about kyle crane in DL2 a DLC maybe
I would like to see a flashback from DL The Following right where it ended when Kyle Crane turned that we’d get to see what happened to him
What if what if? The millitary used these violes that turned people into sentinels, but what if there was possibility that Kyle Crane survived and didn't turn to anything but he was shown a vision by "Mother" that what he s doing is going to kill them just because he survived doesn't mean others will hinting that Kyle Crane if survived could be a immune person to virus and be key to cure (so how he survived? i have no clue but there are possibilities like the last viole of Antizin or using UV light to stop progression of virus if Crane could get to UV before his transformation he may been saved from it, therefore it would be great if we got Aiden searching for old Kyle, which decided to escape Harran with few survivors as city was abandoned and then he saw the world burn and decided to do some traveling in europe being lost which is the last hope of humanity for a cure. Which would connect content from both games One being experiment for potential cure and one unknowingly sent into city full of virus hoping to gather information unknowingly becoming a cure. So how? Why nighthunter is a thing? Well i think Nighthunter was just special thing non-cannon that many people don't get, i think Kyle never became zombie in the first place but gained immense strength and much more powerfull stamina but he was probably taken by GRE as object of experimentation especially with THV becoming some sort of patient zero who used to be immune to HV before and now to THV (We have to connect the fact that the only way for them to gain super strength and powers as a human of volitaile the only way is to acknowledge that there must've been person before them who somehow possesed these powers in natural way)
Maybe in dying light 3? Would be nice to see him and some of the others.
I really hope this and the volatile hives are hinting to a zombie invasion PvP mode like in the first Dying Light.
