Can I Beat Baldurs Gate 3 [Honor Mode] with these 9 restrictions? | Ep 5

The Nine Hells Run Challenge:
1) Honor Difficulty
2) No long rests that restore anything (Also no restoration pods, re-speccing to restore spells, long rest potions, etc. Doing a rest for purely story advancement is fine, as long as it doesn’t actually restore any hitpoints, spell slots, or other resources. Likewise re-speccing is ok as long as you waste an appropriate number of spell slots and hitpoints afterward so that you haven’t gained anything)
3) No heal potions for the party (And no Elixir of Half-Elven Healing or other potions that act like super healing potions)
4) Fight every enemy, the hard way! (Resolve every encounter with combat, seek out and fight every available enemy in every area. No using dialogue options to divide-and-conquer enemy forces and turn them against each other, fight the hardest possible groupings of enemies together
5) No reviving dead party members
6) Camp party members don’t help (No having party members in camp cast heal spells or buffs or things like that)
7) No cheese/exploits (For example, no carrying barrels around from room to room, no abusing stealth mode for endless free hits with the enemy being totally unable to respond)
8) No wrong class/level scrolls (Can’t cast from a scroll unless it’s on your class spell list, and you have a spell slot of appropriate level, like in 5E)
9) No save-scumming

  1. Slightly higher game sound (if for nothing else then for conversations) would be awesome. It is still really hard to follow the conversations in between your comments. At least on a phone where the subtitles are small

  2. I love the lore explanations and discussions, Melth. Also, RIP Mongolian throat singing lizard lady. If only she had made a 100 gold deposit with Withers in advance for contingency revives.

  3. Real shame they didn't have Cespenar be the Bhaal-Dark Urge liason – much more helpful fellow, him! Also, feel like they should have dumped the Bhaalspawn thing entirely. WotC really ruined it by having 'the Bhaalspawn' get ganked by some loser nobody in one of their adventures, and it being followed up here could never have been anything but disappointing! Throne of Bhaal's endings easily should have led to Bhaal never being returned at all, since even an evil maniac PC would still be less stupid than Bhaal himself and a lawful good person taking up the mantle of Murder and Killing could change the tone of the faith! Honestly confused why they even called it Baldur's Gate with how little it has to do with the prior games. Well.. not THAT confused. Brandname recognition is all too addicting to marketing teams, even when it makes no sense. Too bad; they really could have, until they cut basically everyone working at WotC it seems, kicked off a new Gold Box era – a ton of games set not only in FR but in other settings to keep interest up!

  4. I'm also doing a honour mode run and it's been funny to see how much better you prepare for battles. I haven't died yet but Act 1 is almost done. I'm also playing as Dark Urge, but my character is not resisting the urge at all. Evil run has plenty of downsides but boy is it fun.
