Cam Newton Compares J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake's Rap Beef To The NFL | CLUB SHAY SHAY

Cam Newton joins Shannon Sharpe at Club Shay Shay, delving into a wide array of topics from football to fashion. He sheds light on his cigar lounge Fellowship and clarifies his controversial “game changer vs game manager” quarterback comments, providing insights into the NFL criticism landscape and its parallels to the rap game’s beef between Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar. Cam candidly discusses his experiences with various NFL teams, including the New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers, reflecting on toxicity in relationships and corporate politics in football. From dissecting quarterback strategies to analyzing player legacies and team dynamics, Cam offers his unique perspective with honesty and depth. Cam offers insights into what is holding Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens and Dak Prescott’s Dallas Cowboys back from making a deep Super Bowl run. Cam claims that the Atlanta Falcons could’ve afforded Lamar Jackson, Justin Fields, Mike Vick and himself for the price they paid for Kirk Cousins. He reminisces about his rookie days in Carolina, shares stories about former teammates like Steve Smith Sr., Luke Kuechly, and Christian McCaffrey, and reflects on his relationship with Panthers’ former owner Jerry Richardson. Reflecting on his Super Bowl run and MVP performance, Cam shares candid insights into the mental and emotional toll of the big game, including the infamous fumble that haunted him in his Carolina Panthers’ loss to Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos. Then, he delves into his extensive collegiate experiences. Cam talks about his time with the Florida Gators, which did not pan out as Cam expected because Urban Meyer was not as committed to Cam as he was to Tim Tebow. Cam also says the Netflix documentary focusing on Florida did not do a good enough job capturing the toxicity and chaos of a locker room comprised of guys like Aaron Hernandez, the Pouncey Brothers, Joe Haden and Percy Harvin. Cam also addresses the controversies surrounding his recruitment to Auburn and the resilience that propelled him through the adversity and into success, eventually culminating with a National Championship for Auburn. As the conversation ranges from confronting Alabama fans in the Iron Bowl, the recent scuffle he got in at his 7on7 camp, living next door to Michael Jordan, his parenting philosophy, near-death experience and not defining his legacy on whether or not he makes the NFL Hall of Fame, Cam’s trademark personality shines through as he navigates numerous topics with depth and sincerity. Cam Newton offers a rare glimpse into the heart and mind of a football icon, providing valuable insights that resonate far beyond the gridiron.

  2. I like Cam and I’m glad his folks were right there with him to help get him to where he needed to be, but I think his Dad may have took that money. Based on the way Cam told the story. It sounds to me his dad took that money. That’s the real reason his dad said go to Auburn. That’s the real reason his Dad was able to not attend and games and be okay with it because he took that money. That’s the real reason his Dad was able to deal with it all long as Cam was still able to play he felt that he got away with the money so he dealt with the punishment even tho no one knows that he took the money to help direct Cam to Auburn. Cam had his mind made up to go to Mississippi until his dad directed him towards Auburn and the Dad knew how much Cam cared about what he thinks so it was real easy for Cam to go to Auburn once he heard it from his dad

  3. Cam Newton sounds like these clowns who traded Luka Doncic for Trae Young and Cam Reddish (another Duke bust) with the Atlanta Hawks to sell tickets. The truth is the Atlanta Falcons know Cam's "activities" here in Atlanta and clearly know his shopping sprees and the crowd that he socializes with, at times, are a potential major distraction to the team and franchise. Any franchise that sees this guy move across Atlanta and the strip clubs are taking Kirk Cousins. Cam is hating.

  4. Great interview! I think Cam and Monique are similar, in that, they have big personalities and will always be vocal. You won’t see them hiding in the corner, silent lol. But they’re not the best in their respective fields. So people look down on them. When they should be praised more.
