Call of Duty's DMZ Mode is No Tarkov Competitor – Gameplay and Impressions

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is getting an extraction royale mode that’s trying to compete with the likes of Escape from Tarkov and Hunt Showdown. But there’s a BIG problem…

  1. I'm impressed with what MW2 is offering so far. I've literally only played quick match, I've got so much content to get through and considering it's still early days there's plenty of room for improvements.

  2. This gamemode would have been amazing had they brought back the in-game currency system from BO1 where you earned credits to buy different equipment for create a class because and just listen, if you manage to exfil with all the equipment you grab, you can choose to sell specific gear for credits and keep other gear for another run and use those credits to buy attachments, perks and other things maybe also using those credits to buy camos and skins. It adds more to work for in the game and gives something for F2P players as well so they feel like they are getting something worth their time without feeling pressured to always buy bundles for anything spectacular. It would give players a reason to play DMZ other than just to play it and you feel like you actually are doing something. It would also make prioritizing keeping as much equipment as you can which also means you are either playing aggressively to get equipment or defensively to keep your equipment and makes objects feel more rewarding.

  3. So it's just warzone with more objectives a bit more detail in the loot system and some ai…. So it's just warzone+…. So they overhyped and misrepresented what their product was…. Again. Fabulous.

  4. At the end of the day , cod is just what it is. A dopamine injection run and gun, bunny jump game which no one should take seriously. If you thought this was going to be remotely anything like cod. You're deluded.

  5. I gotta admit I enjoy DMZ more than normal BR. To me BR is just run in, loot, die to a random with his squad and then get sent to the gulag where I die again because the enemy just appear out of nowhere. Granted this isn’t a complaint that it’s too hard, more just that DMZ is more fun for me since I don’t need to learn and sweat 24/7.
