Makarov having been in prison (likely as a political prisoner) makes a lot of sense- in the original game, he was Ukranian and seemed to have climbed the Spetnaz ranks in Russia to gain a following of his own. It'd be cool if we got prison flashbacks from the perspective of Joseph Allen- who's been under cover longer in this timeline. It'd be even cooler if it was revealed that it was GHOST who went under cover in prison. This could explain why this version of Ghost has tattoos and doesn't show his face.
I mean, makarov didn’t sound russian in the OG mw trilogy either.

In the House of that Mission where Shepherd betrays Tf141, you can find some newspaper that say : Ter*orist Attack in Piccadilly. Inkslasher somehow linked it to Makarov. Maybe you go search for that Video, its quite nice to listen to that Theory
To me, the best mode in a CoD game is the story, the multiplayer has been the same for years and the addition of Warzone was decent at least. In the campaign you just get a really good and entertaining story with lots of missions for you to go through.
Fuck MW3, just another microtransaction super store for cancerous "Operator" skins of anime, international footballers, halo-esque soldier skins, futuristic skins, etc, etc… also, Makarov in this looks NOTHING like Makarov from the TRUE MW2/3. If you support this game, then you're part of the problem and you support NONCES (Activision).
