California wildfires: Blazes rip through Los Angeles as firefighters run out of water

Firefighters are running out of water to tackle the three blazes ripping through Southern California as experts warn the worst is “yet to come”.

A fire tore through the affluent coastal neighbourhood of Pacific Palisades, home to celebrities including Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon and Steven Spielberg.

Hours later, a second blaze broke out in the inland foothills of north-east Los Angeles, with a third beginning in the Sylmar suburbs, LA’s northernmost neighbourhood.

Daniel Swain, a UCLA climate scientist, warned that the blaze is “just getting started and will get significantly worse before it gets better”, adding that the strongest and most widespread winds are “yet to come”.

  12. Dulu anda begitu bahagia melihat gaza d bom oleh bom buatan negara anda sendiri.orangbygbtak bersalah terhadap negara anda. Sekarang anda meraksakan ketakutan saat api membakar negara anda.. apa yg anda banggakan dengan kekuatan negara anda.   23. I am from Pakistan I can't forget when 7.9 richer scale earthquake hits Pakistan occupied Kashmir area.
    President Musharaf was incharge.
    75,000 people died within friction of time Pakistan was stunned what to do we never had ever face that kind of situation.
    Emergency was declared the area was full of rubble collapsed buildings everywhere dead bodies could be seen.
    Whole the nation was in shock.
    That was the time when Americas great nation extended the hand to help out Pakistan.
    Many Chinook helicopter including professional marines with all kind of equipment needed were at the disposal of Pakistan Army.
    Americans did great job day and night even establishing emergency hospital's.
    I don't have words how to thanks this great American nation.
    We don't have that kind of professionals neither resources but we stand beside USA in hard times may God Almighty bless USA and the people who are effected in California fire.
    May God Almighty be mercy on everyone.
