I have to say that this new EP is awesome!
I don't know if "medleys" are maybe considered lame or cool or whatever but I'd love to hear a medley of this EP, like at a live show. When I've been cruising with these tunes playing for the past week and belting the words out at the top of my lungs, every time I finish the chorus for either "Be My Death Cult" or "There is no Heaven (Only Hell)," I immediately want to launch into that second throat-y "God kills and so shall we, I don't need you now."
(That also kills my throat a bit because the growl/roughness of that part is tough for me to nail, especially with how often I've been trying to replicate the deep, gutteral singing of Mark "Sparky" Phillips lately, but I digress)
These tracks on this EP just flow and feel so 'right' that they would make for an excellent medley to cap off the end of a live set. If I was skilled-enough and owned some music software and a computer to use it on, I would already have tried my hand at creating one, with some hooks or choruses from a few songs off of Lust for Sacrilege and Flee the Light thrown in for good measure. You can definitely hear the build-up to the sound on this EP over the the last few releases though. Just more incredible music from the Calabrese Bros.
