No words for how awesome this is, I have never heard of the French cabaret that inspired the design, not sure how I got this far in life without seeing that awesome place! I always love seeing you transform mundane to the macabre but this may be my favorite place you've done (loved the Victorian funeral house bathroom too), the gargoyles and medieval religious things mixed with both the Victorian furniture and things turned out looking a lot more uniform than I would have thought. Love the design so much, and that there's a truly gothic cafe out there in the world that isn't trying to stay appealing to the mainstream by just having a black chair and saying that's gothic or something. I guess since you've gotten called to redesign someone else's space, you have got at least one episode now of a true HG TV show (or perhaps a bit more Queer Eye but gothic)!

Death in the Afternoon sounds like a great cocktail. I think I might try my own version of it with a pastis or ouzo and a sparkling white wine or rose. I might even add some creme de menthe for good measure.
Well they closed the Monster Cafe at Universal Orlando sadly…but now this has opened up…There really needs to be more bars and restaurants like these aside from the few around the world!
Next time you are in California , check out The Cauldron , it is right across from Knott's Berry Farm and has great food and amazing drinks in a Witch themed bar
I am glad I bought 6 bottles of Century Absinth before the European Union shut them down for being almost triple the legal limit of Thujone…like 10 years ago? I am down to 2 full bottles and 1/4 of another…I barely ever break it out and only sparingly…it is so potent and strong now , its amazing stuff…it will be a very sad day when they are all gone…
