I would actually prefer a USA based version of proton mail as I agree that we're not trying to keep governments out of our email, but I do like simplelogin, because use my own domain and whenever I want to switch I own the domain and worse case I can just run a catchall domain against my own domain and I won't lose all these alias emails.

    Apparently, the headquarters being in Switzerland actually provides additional security for customers due to the country's privacy laws. I wonder what could happen to Skiff, if something like this happens because it is based in the USA.

  3. trying to get a secure email service is like trying to secure your house when none of your doors and windows have locks

    Email is inherently insecure, but we are stuck with it because for some unspeakable reason its become the standard for formal communication

  4. For me email is 99.5% inboudnd marketing shit I don't want anyway. But I am slowly moving most of those companies to Proton because low key i hope they don't sell that data somewhere.
