  1. Wrong! This is not an uncommon thing to happen. Over the past ten years there have been numerous driver and passenger shootings. There have been numerous, serious assaults on both drivers and customers. I am a retired driver having served 35 years for the good people of this district and was critical at management's apathy and always paid the price for it. I always stepped in to protect drivers from the management's hostile actions on the road and in the office. I always intervened on behalf of my customers to protect them from violently predisposed individuals. And, recently, when as a customer I experienced a vile interaction with a defamatory and threatening individual King County did NOTHING! I am still trying to recover from that experience. The Department of Justice needs to step in and evaluate King County Metro leadership from the top down as every person that rides a bus is in imminent danger every single day. Peace and Justice to all my brothers and sisters. MW

  2. A guy literally tried to follow me home on a bus ride threatening me the whole time for not wanting to talk to him I never took the bus again mind you teens and kids also take these busses Seattle needs to do so much better in many areas relating to public safety and law enforcement. My abuser was allowed to get away with stealing my car and violating a protection order over 3 times with ample proof for everything while he continued to traffic and abuse other women. It’s a scary place to live.

  3. Were living in a time of more and more violence and it is happening more often walk like soldiers and stay thirsty my friend!!! You may get your battle like a Green beret in combat! Only choose ways to win we must show Evil who's boss but be sure to win and inspire others to help! It's our time to wave our personal flags of freedom because your flag is yourself and your beliefs that you know everything about! 🇺🇸 The American flag is just a symbolic means of heritage of different beliefs one take it as you will as a veteran of combat I say your personal flag means more! your memories what you know where your from who is United to your self!!! It's time to take a stand let God take a break and lets break some traditional ideas of reality it's not disrespectful to the patriotic ways of being but we need change before laws! And you must move quickly you better be like Rambo!!! That way you're probably prepared!!! Be prepared it's your time to break those chains walk just fine even if your severely wounded! And then you will say to yourself when it"s to go Mission Accomplished!!!

  4. De-escalate a psychopath????
They should've been had better ways for drivers to protect their LIVES. They didn't think after the bus went off the bridge they should've had better ways to deal with efd up passengers.
They've allowed too much on metro since covid with pill smoking on busses that I've personally witnessed so its not a myth. There's supposed to be harsh penalties for even assaulting a metro driver so why are they basically allowing this crap to go on. 😡

  5. Have only complained to the city and press for years about these dangers to the bus drivers and passengers on Seattle buses to no avail. There's no emergency buzzers directly to the SPD for the bus drivers, the drivers have to ask the passengers to call for them, and if passengers call 911 from a bus, it takes the police 15-20 minutes at minimum to show up, in addition to the passenger having to justify themselves to the dispatcher for another 20 minutes even when the bus driver asked them to call 911. The POLICE RESPONSE TIME ON A BUS should be ONE MINUTE PERIOD. Why is this the case? Not because SPD needs more money, but because the CURRENT RESOURCES in the police dept are directed towards totally quiet WEALTHY neighborhoods that can already afford their own private security for THE RICH. But the CITY COUNCIL doesn't give a damn about the WORKING CLASS. If the bus driver was instead a health insurance company CEO who bankrupts and mass murders Americans for obscene PROFITS while hiding behind a desk, this would be international news and you'd have tracked him down by now. AGAIN: I could see this coming miles away down the track on a Seattle bus FOR YEARS ALREADY AND NO ONE HAS BEEN LISTENING. BECAUSE IT'S THE WORKING CLASS THAT RIDES THE BUSES. The City Council does nothing but waste our tax money complaining and finger pointing about how nothing is ever their fault. They should ALL be fired. Anyone who tries to make this into a left/right issue is PART OF THE PROBLEM NOT THE SOLUTION.

  6. Apparently, Sitzlack killed a roommate in 2023 in Seattle and wasn't charged, it seems, because he gave police a BS story about self-defense. I gather his roommate wasn't a CEO either like the bus driver. Sitzlack seems to be from Miami. I wonder how he slipped under the radar of police in Florida. And possibly some other places, looking at who he may be related to!

  7. As an 11-12 year Transit Operator, deescalation training is a joke! Typical training consists of videos and lectures presented by someone who's probably never actually had a physical altercation in their life let alone getting punched in the face. Training basically is to appease bad behavior to avoid conflict to prevent litigation, harm public image of said agency and comply with insurance requirements. Thank progressive political policies and defunding law enforcement that have resulted in an escalation of crime and bad behavior without consequences across our country! I was fortunate to have wrestled, played football as well as growing up in a fishing port restaurant and bar. My first fist fight at 10 years old was with a drunk fisherman! Yeah! He knocked me down with one punch but not before I caught him in the mouth, splitting his mouth open with blood pouring out! It didn't matter that he punched me. What did is that I fought back and defended myself! Your employer would rather of be a victim instead! My thoughts and prayers go out to a fellow operator and his loved ones! God bless!
