Seconds after taking off from Los Angeles, a fire erupts in the engine of a British Airways Boeing 747 carrying over 350 passengers. But incredibly, the pilots donβt return to the airport. Instead, they decide to continue their journey to London β a decision which would soon lead to more problems. This is the controversial story of British Airways flight 268.

Seconds after an aircraft loses an engine, the pilots say, βOh well. Letβs just keep going to London.β
Iβve never heard of such a thing. You donβt continue flying on a crippled airliner. An aircraft that could be in disasterβ¦not knowing what else could happen? No words!
Crappy ad for a video dame was a rotten waste of time. Pfffft!
Terrible clickbate title. Not impressed.
Hey Green Dot I'm an ex-military ATC and between you and VAS Aviation your content is phenomenal! Keep up the good work and keep that altimeter at 29.92.
Thank you for making videos about aircraft incidents and not just fatal accidents. I've learned a lot from your channel.
Quite disagree fire in any erngine turn around land.. do not even try to make trans osceanic flight..NO
wow again, amazing storytelling, just gotta love it, thanks for doing this story π
You are providing monumental aviation stories, day in, day out, like itΒ΄s a walk in the park π
Great video, apart from the clickbait title. Subscribed to your channel.
Awesome video as always
Enjoyable video, but "BURSTING into flames" is not what this airplane did. I would have clicked and upvoted without the clickbait but not while people are wilfully misled.
Dave wanted to eat the beef off the ground… i get it…
At the rate aircraft fall out of the sky in america the FAA has no place telling British Airways they're operating in an unsafe manner.

And the same plane lost an engine again from LAX. Finally changed the FADEC. Digital Engine Controller. It went non stop as well.
But of a click bait title. Disappointing
Hello, I was wondering if you could make a video sometime about Finnair flight 915 (AY915)?
I've watched mostly every video of yours, I'm a huge fan. The way you've upgraded your videos is just wonderful. You really are the best aviation story teller, I don't know why you don't get more recognition for the hard work and dedication for these amazing videos you make for us.
When i was like 7 i wanted i be a pilot by i changed my mind because i dont wamt to die in a crash
Why would BA do anything other than follow Boeing manuals???
Thank you, Green Dot Aviation.π’β
4:00 Did the crew leave the parking brakes on, because those brakes discs B glowingβ¦
Your storytelling is great.
Hey man! Love your videos, I've been binging all of them over the last few days. Have you considered the story of TransAsia? They have a pretty interesting history, ending in 2 fatal crashes in less than a year that culminated on them ceasing operations.
Thanks for the amazing work!
Suggestions from Brazilian aviation:
– TAM 402 – Fokker 100, asymmetric reverse deployment on take off – 1996
– Gol 1907 – B737-800, midair collision with an Embraer Legacy – 2006
– TAM 3054 – A320, asymmetric thrust on landing, runway excursion – Worst air disaster in Brazil – 2007
How awful for the passengers.. Manchester! π±
Why are planes going with 2 engines over 4?
It is ripped by racist political ads every 1,5 minutes, you can't enjoy the content, leading to stop watching and following the channel.
Looks like a BA Flight Crew that brought their A Game to work and flew a very safe flight. Looks like the FAA dropped their complaint because the BA conduct was no different than many 121 operators in the U.S.A.. Problem is the experience level within the FAA has been historically very low.
Oh my goodness man, this man just looked so cute while playing Star Trek, wow that is nice
