  1. John have you seen the 1975 Japnese movie "The Bullet Train "/ (Shinkansen Daibakuha)? That's a good one . There is a 1980 movie in Bollywood named " The Burning Train" based on ( copied from) the original one.

  2. Just watched it last night. Some funny bits but overall not great.

For a film set in Japan, there was a surprising lack of Japanese and Asian actors screentime in it!

Nothing was filmed in Japan at all and it shows! All of it was CGI

  3. Yeah, if the Japanese pronounce it "As-a-ku-sa", then that's how it's pronounced.

I find it odd that someone who isn't even living in Japan, would argue with someone who lives in Japan, speaks fluent Japanese, and hears the word pronounced by locals every single day, that they're saying it wrong, but then again that's the internet for ya.

  4. japan actually is infamous for taking foreign things and making it tehir own, not caring at all whether its correctly done or not. and we love them for it.
so its not that bad, making a hollywood film that gets things wrong.

  5. People come on to your channel John, a wholesome time spent with you and your friends and family are what your supporters support. Those that leave complaints must have horribly sad lives. You keep being you.

  6. Thank you, John, for introducing me to the Bullet Train movie set.

I have seen this movie many times.
When I saw it for the first time, I was disappointed because the interior of the bullet train and the representation of the Japanese city were different from reality.
However, the image expressed in the train window was the same scenery as the train window seen from the Shinkansen, as it was taken while driving on the expressway from Tokyo to Kyoto.

After watching this film two or three times, I realized that the images depicting the real Japan were not interesting to me because I was used to seeing them.
After watching this movie over and over again, I started to find it interesting.

If it were a real Shinkansen set, it would be a movie like "1975 bullet train" (uploaded on YouTube) and it would be too realistic and dark and not interesting.
But , 2022 Bullet Train is a comedy with a splatter.
