  1. Can we have a fair home & away comp? Where everyone hosts everyone else once. It's a shame when a club builds a fortress home ground & the premiers win titles without facing the challenge

  2. I love origin, however my suggestion would be to play every 2 years, here me out, I think the disruption to clubland can be profound. The demands on the rep players mid season is asking too much, played every 2years as apposed to annually could in my opinion make the fixture even bigger I mean imagine having bragging rights for 2 years how desperate would u be to avoid another 2, years, just saying!!!

  3. Don't change tradition.. I've grown up with origin mid season, we change that to a week in between a game.. it would benefit new South because we always change our team.

    Bring it on

Accelerating over 10-15 meters from dummy half – Damien Cooke
Accelerating to top speed from a running start, over 15-20 meters – Reece Walsh
Accelerating to top speed from a running start, over 40-50 meters – Ryan Papenhuyzen or Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow
Accelerating & maintaining speed through broken play & players – Jayden Campbell or AJ Brimson
Faster than he looks – Jack Hetherington
Slower than he looks – Alex Johnston & Ezra Mam

  5. The player there talking about from the bulldogs is jacob kiraz he knows his apot is pretty much taken and his cut as about it as he knows hes not really a standard nrl player its also a touchy subject as he was one of the only lebanese background player left around the club and the following the bulldogs has is mostly lebanese/arabic cultured fans so its a tough one

  6. While the tackle Corey got put on report for was fine, he also had 2 in the very same game that were shoulder charges and went unpunished. Sometimes I think they look at those as well

  7. I am not interested in origin at all. The games are not a good watch because the good players cancel each other out and a lot of tries are scrappy. Club games are far more interesting. Maybe as I am not from nsw or qld I don’t get it as much haha.

  8. Did Gus honestly think he was going to do a podcast and not be asked a question about what’s going on at the Bulldogs with wrestling incident? He was rude to MT.

  9. I'm both an AFL and NRL fan and I have noticed more and more conversations around origin and changing it and the club's not being happy. I remember state of origin being massive in the AFL and it just died because of these conversations.

  10. I've got depression, PDSD and trauma. Whenever the place's I worked at knew about this, they never cared and just wanted to push me out. Maybe if I had the support system the Bulldogs seem to have at the club, I would learn how to manage my depression better.

  11. Yeah there’s a bit of confusion in the game that’s for sure. But on a mental health level there’s the proactive and forward charge of jamming Alcohol and gambling down the throat!!!

  12. As an American watching NRL and through the lens of an American and our sports here.

I could never imagine during the season a tournament happening where Tom Brady leaves his team for an all star game that has no relevance on the actual season.

Either pause the season to hold the tournament and shorten the season or have it at the beginning or end. But taking players away from their teams for an all star game os a bit silly and bad for the fans of the teams and TV.

  13. Ask Gus. If the NRL had a bye before the first round of finals to give teams a break, would it be a good idea to keep rugby league momentum by having the NRL grand final that weekend????

  14. Words of wisdom from Gus, as someone else mentioned, he's an Australian Treasure and so glad I have been part of erra where we the public have had the pleasure of having him and Rabs calling games… just wish he was a Queenslander :).
