I strarted my 40K experience with Dawn of war first games and expantions: Winter Assault, Dark crusade and Soulstorm. Have hundreds ours in these, played every faction's campaigns. Dawn of war 2 doesn't have same soul for me as first one, and DoW 3 is gust moneymaker on franchise, an absolute failure. Gladius is a good game, too. Maybe worth searching in steam community for your problem.

It's a Caestus Assault Ram it's designed to breach into the side of emany spaceships so boarding squads can invade.
Essentially the two orbs are daemonic entities. The marines already have one, that's the one with the marines wearing white and the dude kneeling at it is from the Inquisition. He's a psyker, essentially eavesdropping on the "conversation" between the two orbs. He warns the marines about the plan to "take them", but in doing so he breaks his concentration and leaves his mind open to the orb. He starts getting possessed, which is very bad news, so the marines do the most efficient thing they can do which is execute him immediately. When the marines get absorbed by the ball and appear in the weird 'void', they get set loose when whatever that black shadow is slams into the daemonic beast holding them. There is debate on whether the black shadow is another random daemon attacking or the pysker's soul essentially getting in one final "fuck you" on his way out the door. We don't know where the marines land, but as the handless one is standing up you can see little flashes of light on the other pillars which people assume are his bros getting teleported in as well.
I can recommend Death of Hope if you wanna see Warhammers Grim Darkness in all its glory.
Astartes are enhanced so their blood clotts really quickly and scars up. That and the fact it was quaterised by the plasma blast is why it isn't bleeding. They are also conditioned to insane levels so can keep going even when pretty injured

I was randomly recommended your previous video watching the cinematics, and i was going to recommend the "Astartes" short film, then i noticed this video in the sidebar.
I've been into 40k since the early 90s and i, like so many others, enjoy seeing new people enjoy it for what it is.
