@MerlinsOldSchoolGarageand the team are working hard to get some fun sand cars ready for Merlin’s birthday celebration in Glamis Sand Dunes. These are some gem part finds from Fireman Joe and Ray, just what the doctor ordered for this old school sand car event!

WELL, WELL, WELL…..was watching this video as I do all Merlins videos and I happen to have Motortrend channel on my TV at the same time….All of a sudden I hear a voice that sounds familiar on the TV….I look over and what do i think I see??…MERLIN!. I wasn't sure so I rewinded to see…and to my surprise…IT IS MERLIN! I didn't know you were already a TV star! On this show Merlin makes an old 440 start! You look same Merlin….just a tad bit younger! This guy is the goat you guys! Best channel on Youtube! Rock on Merlin!!!
Both of those gentlemen are very knowledgeable and I'm also glad we have people like them still around so they can pass the knowledge down…… JJ…🎉..😊…. Happy birthday early birthday bro 🎈🎁….
Blow tack and static 😂 👌
The stories of old timers is incredible Merlin your older than me but respect all my elders love the stories
,,,,,,,,,,,,
That rail on The Price is Right totally looks like the same as Brad's rail
Same weekend as the Off-road Games, isn't it? And you're a past category winner, right?
But these are two completely different bags, so Kosher enough I done guess. Minimal overlap..
<edit> Given the new format, I totally get it. It's no longer driver vs driver, so bragging rights are gone = what's the point?
That is my Mother Birthday. She has gone to live with Jesus.
ANY VW stuff I neded done to run at Bonneville was done by Jason at J&S Transaxles and Geoff Hart Performance, both in Havasu City. Love the engine test stand!
Joes story on Jimmy's channel really brought the tears to the surface these guys really deserve all are respect and none of our judgement.
I am gonna put this on the calendar. Me and Zitting are headed your way!
I sold my rail buggy in 02 so i could buy a 85 ramcharger ,i had alot of in in it but i wish i still had that rail . But i wish even more that i could come and hang out at glamis for your birthday ,i know it will be a blast.
Awesome! I turned 55 today!! I'm going to try and make it! I have a ton of vacation time.
Respect fireman Joe
Yes, please more VW and Porsche
I’d rather go to the Birthday bash than some over priced YouTube dictatorship.
I hope fireman joe did blue prints for that awesome engine lift he could sell them to harbor freight and make some dollars for his retirement and live it large pure genius 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I wish Brad wouldn’t have cut that mount off the rail. I would’ve loved to have seen a water cannon mounted on there somehow.
merlin its not what you know but who right
Love the VW content! Let see more on that airplane!
I wanted to send some pictures of the Baja bug I built just after highschool, but I don't know how to do it on this 😂😂😂
I'm sure Joe is an amazing human hope he is enjoying his retirement
Love your videos Merlin keep em coming. Fireman Joe's got a nice garage.
I love the stories from all of your videos! Keep the people and the stories coming!!
55??? Oh, you're just a baby! LOL. (I'll be 58 in March)
Great. Now I'm on Marketplace looking at dune buggies and sand rails. My wife is going to kill me. LOL.
Merlin slow down your video panning..it is very hard on the eyes when yo move around
22:37 MSD Rev limiter 😅
AAHHH!!! The Ides of March are upon Merlin again! 🤨 Et Tu, Jimmy and Makay! 😂🤣 Have fun in the Sun and Sand! 👌😀
Looks like you're all eading in the same direction, so that's a good thing. I'm sure there's gonna be some Merlin magic happening to at least one VW engine along the way. Have fun for your birthday Merlin, wish I could be there, but age, distance and a lack of passport means I don't think I'll be there, lol.
Idk Joe, but I can tell he's a good dude who parties and I like him already👍
Well, thats quite a place, guess I should have been an LA Fireman.
.
Birthday Bash in the sand sounds like an awesome time. Can't wait to see those videos. Brad, can you turn that shifting level around so the bend moves the top forward?
Very ,very interesting video, Thank You
What?! No way!
My ex dad in law had the second long travel Sand Buggy Supply car built. 20"x20" pretty cool for the late 90s.
That was all interesting Stuff Merlin. I could listen to Rays stories all day. 👍
Dude, go to HF and get a soda blaster. Will strip that front axle in no time flat without affecting the finish.
Merlin you have one of the best channels ever, thank you.
Awesome score on the engine and test stand!!
