  2. Hey, just a little point of reference from a Jeep Nerd. The jeep chains attach to rings that are attached to the bottom edges of the pintle hook. The chains are also much shorter. When hanging they are just short of touching the ground. If I could attach a photo I would send you a photo of the back end of my WWII Jeep

  3. My Grandfather build this from the exact building plans of the jeep, out of steel, with every detail you can think of, inside and outside. R.i.P Grandpa!

  4. Nice little trailer. I'm not trying to be picky, but those leaf springs would never work without spring shackles. I find it hard to believe they would forget that with the amount of detail they are providing.

  5. Well done Andy, it looks perfect for the Jeep, but should you have to modify buts just so they fit? Personally I would say no, but we must do what we must do, looking forward to your next build video, best regards from Australia 👍👍👍👍

  6. Not sure what Trailer this was based on but there appear to be a few mistakes if it's the Bantam T3 or Willys MBT who made the majority of them. The leaf spring has a U shaped swing bar at the rear which joins the leaf spring to the mounting bracket, the leaf spring being attached to the front mounting bracket by a bolt and nut. The instructions in the video show the made up trailer (looks like a CAD rendering) on the right and it appears to show the correct set up but there doesn't appear to be any part supplied for the Swing Bar. The top of the storage tray is a round not square in section. It was made up of a round tubular frame and then the sides, rear and front panels were rolled over the frame. The Tubular frame is visible at each corner. The hand brake is missing which is a prominent assembly. The main frame was made of 3 C channel's, 1 along each side and 1 at the rear but the front was open with some blanking plates covering the channel ends. The A frame was fixed at the front to the bottom of the tray by U shaped brackets, with the rest of the frame being welded to main frame. There should be a drain hole visible in the rear of the tray. There should be 1 more tie down at the front as well in a similar position to the rear one. This is not a cheap kit and all the apparent errors spoil it for me.

  7. Other important thing this isn’t how the chains should used (including on modern trailers), they should be crossed underneath the tow bar. The idea being if it somehow comes off the hitch it falls on the chain cradle

  8. Why is the kit resin? I 3D print add-one on my resin printer, but for injection molding why not use polystyrene? I realize it’s a cold chemical cure so you can get away with cheap silicone molds which are way cheaper than steel IM molds, but even so, poured resin (essentially epoxy) is a pain in the butt to work with
