I have that same combo of armory and all in one but with Hope Tech habs and it doesn't do that. Hope Tech stuff is ALMOST identical internally so that could be an option for some until it's fixed.
They definitely need more transition pieces in the ship builder so things look less disjointed when you mix manufacturer parts.
Pintos exploded when hit from the rear. It was because of bad fuel tank placement. For those younger than gen X.
For the combat, if you going for the "balanced" weapons you need to shoot the right weapons at the right time, smashing all butttons at the same time is not good. Having at least 1 set of PAR weapons instead of laser would make you life much easier and leave the balistic weapons just for when enemies shieeld is depleted.
Also as PAR weapons have a greater range than most other weapons, you can make a drift manuever, to face your enemies while going backwards direction.
But anyway, with all dificulties you put yourself in, still managed to kill that hiena 2 ship thats very powerfull.
Did you find that ship just over the Hill from that first dungeon encounter with the spacer?
I told all my buddies when they started the game about that ship and none of them could find it.
I flew "The Stabber" All the way through the freestyle quest line until I that the ranger ship. Just pack it full of particle beams and suppressors and it's a great little boat
It lacks this "LONG VEHICLE"-sign.
