For me third person perspective is ridiculous. I mean, you don't float behind yourself or above rover you drive.

This panels remind me a bit that from Subnautica FCS mods.
1/3 Earth's gravity on Mars. And about 0.01 atmosphere density. It's almost vacuum.
Perhaps short with window does not count as short corridor for research?
If dust storms or dust devils are dangerous in this game, this is another thing accurate with The Martian. It's pure fiction, not science fiction. In real world, with such thin atmosphere, it's completely harmless. The only harm they do is moving dust. It can cover solar panels making them useless. It's common reason for rovers stop to working. There is no way to clean it up and rover is out of power permanently. There is only one case I'm aware of, don't remember which rover it is right now, that solar panels were covered with dust and it seemed it was dead but later wind cleared this panels and rover was again operational. Perhaps it's operational until now.

Does it make difference if you sleep longer? I mean, do you make things more efficiently and can go to sleep later the next day?
If we grow up as a species and won't kill all each other, it's not the matter if but when we colonize Mars. When we terraform mars, expand to the whole Solar System and perhaps to other stars. But first we have to grow up and I'm worried if will.
