  1. Cold waves from the west northwest and lake effect energy/moisture make storms particularly bad in the NE USA. Same event was cold as hell here to the west of the Mississippi Riv but we didn't get near as much snow and ice. At least I assume lake effect made the difference,I'm no weatherman. Maybe folks need to invest more in food/water and alternative heat reserves/sources than they already do. And don't forget proper storage of all that.

  2. On Friday I went outside to make sure my neighbors furnace exhaust was clear. The -17⁰ wind chill combined with the 80mph gusts takes your breath away. Being out there in those conditions would kill you in less than an hour. Your nostrils instantly freeze when you breeze through your nose. Has a crazy effect on your lungs.

  3. They need to get a plow to clean that area enough to get an ambulance crew to that dialysis lady and transport to the hospital. Or just like the reporter walked in, get the crew to walk in with one of those basket type stretchers.
Thinking of this situation, wouldn't it be great if ambulances and fire trucks could be equipped with snow plows/big snow blowers and used in storms like this.
    Prayers for everyone's safety 🙏.

  4. When I visited Buffalo from Ft Lauderdale Florida in 1984, pre Hurricane Andrew all the Buffalonians said they were afraid of hurricanes. I said we don't get a hurricane every year but you guys have a blizzard almost every year. More than 1 person said oh, they just push all the snow up like that for tv. Take a hurricane anyday, you can get out of the way if you drive far enough, these poor people were just trapped.
