  1. We had to do this exact thing way back in the day in 1994 & then again in 98 here in my home town. Flood waters were so high, we were in a boat, and there was a semi truck fully submerged, we couod only see the tiny yellow lights that used to run across the top of semi trucks!

  2. How long can insurance pay for storm related losses and stay in business? Who wants to stay where they face frequent storm damage?
    Florida's Sea Level Is Rising

And It's Costing Over $4 Billion

The sea level around Florida is up to 8 inches higher than it was in 1950.1 | 2 This increase is mostly due to ice melting into the ocean and, complicated by the porous limestone that the state sits on, itโ€™s causing major issues. Many traditional methods to solve for sea level rise and flooding in Florida wonโ€™t work, because water can flow through the porous ground, up from below, and under sea walls. In Miami-Dade County, the groundwater levels in some places are not high enough relative to the rising sea levels, which has allowed saltwater to intrude into the drinking water and compromised sewage plants. There are already 120,000 properties at risk from frequent tidal flooding in Florida.3 The state is planning over $4 billion in sea level rise solutions, which include protecting sewage systems, raising roads, stormwater improvements, and seawalls.

  3. Where is Governor DeSantis and his white rubber boots? Is he too busy waging a war against Disneyland, CRT, The LGBQT community, and Wokeness? Or is Climate change too woke for him? Or is he too busy auditioning to run for President in 2024? Only time will tell.

  4. I'm glad that climate change doesn't exist. I'm gonna keep voting for people who place our lives and the livelihoods of our children in constant danger so they may be paid blood money by corporations.

If you're into the autocratic thing it should be easy just "don't believe what you see with your eyes or hear with your own ears", as Hitler, Putin and Trump said in their speeches. Climate change is "fake news", just ask all the dead people.

  5. Now DeSantis will need Federal assistance from FEMA and he wonโ€™t ask they will just show up because thatโ€™s what this Country does for EVERYONE of its citizens. The way Republicans think how itโ€™s only for them, itโ€™s only for white Christians is sickening and disgusting to have that mindset you are an UnAmerica you are a disgrace.

  6. Welcome to climate change. Too bad you have a governor who is more focused on taking away rights than he is focused on addressing the one thing that will affect Floridians the most.
