Hey good for you, but…They can still intimidate and harass everyone that isn't willing to get arrested and processed, hire a lawyer and go to court –and they know that. You can beat the charge, but they can cuff you and waste a lot of your time and energy with little or likely no repercussions. They get the same paycheck whatever happens.

You should file a lawsuit against the individual cops. Basically they unlawfully arrested you for exercising your rights. By principle i believe this would be the correct thing to do, or this will continue and these tyrants will never learn.

Those police officers have some of the most despicable characteristics I have ever seen. For them to be representatives of Brooklyn says so much about that place.
Good job. We agree NYPD are shitheads but what about the DA office that took it that far they should be held accountable to.
None of this will change until officers are liable for this just like any other profession, they should be required to carry liability insurance like a doctor, a lawyer, a general contractor etc. when any of them mess up, it’s on them, but officers get a pass for some reason. The government wants to hold us accountable but refuses to hold themselves accountable. It’s like having a really shitty boss that can kidnap, commit violence or even unperson you if they feel like it.
