  1. Look if we lose cousins, we are probably going to have double digit losses next year. I’d love to be able to sit a rookie for a year. Russ on a league minimum deal wouldn’t be so terrible as a bridge qb.

  2. If Wilson is willing to take less than 15 mil and open the door to sign a DT, DE, CB with the rest of the money in free agency AND be veteran bridge QB. Isn't that a no brainer in comparison to giving Kirk Cousins 40+mil?

  3. Beggers cant be choosers. You all act as if the Vikings have conplete control over everything. It is the teams that own the picks and the players, who have all the control. Bears, Wash,NE all need QBs They are just licking thier chops to find that one sucker team that will give away the farm otherwise they will stick and pick. Listen to the podcast and chatrooms of Giants, Falcons, Broncos, Raiders, Tampa Bay. They are all trading up to get a QB too! I am not a genius but something doesnt work here.Vikings just need to do what is best for the team. It doesnt matter if it is Wilson, Kirk or a rookie. Just DON'T be the schmucks!

  4. For league minimum, the right team could go to the super bowl. Having a veteran QB that essentially doesnt count against the cap AT ALL is HUUUUGE and the team that gets him is lucky. No risk, possible high reward.

  5. In retrospect how wild was the 2012 NFL draft for QBs? RG3 one ROTY and looked unbelievable early on, Andrew Luck looked like the next Peyton Manning over the next few years, then Russell Wilson peaked higher than all of them. Only for Kirko Chains to have the longevity of looking great late in his career.

  6. I was at the Broncos Vikings game this last year, and boy Russ was unimpressive. He couldn’t throw the ball farther than 10 yards, everything was check downs. No thanks on signing him, even for league minimum. I’m out

  7. I think this is a pretty easy choice. A quarterback the same age as Kirk cousins with a bigger resume. Who quite frankly just had a horrible situation in Denver. Oh yeah. And he’s FREE. Coming into the best and youngest offense in the league. SIGN HIM AND DRAFT A QB AT 11. EASY!!!!
