I really liked the camera style, it reminded me of old Playstation games but with updated graphics, I don't know why but I really like it when they pick up some mechanics from an old games and add in current engines
Elise: "A storm could help." then she claps hands. Me: what? I see well that glowing pendant on the wrist changing color like the Death Stranding handcuffs by the way
Its cool to see Parasite Eve gameplay style and, again, a "horror" game taking place in broad daylight and in well lit areas: yes!
Unfortunately, I find it too slow and predictable: the otherworldly-place-revealing-to-be-a-dream intro sequence followed by exploring a huge ass house flooded with exposition notes, post-it, photos and emails. Seen that dozens of time.
The layout art is nice, but I can't shake that feeling of watching a 90s Sierra point & click game. It seems off compared to the characters.
As for the tone, well. The protag has the charisma of a doorknob and the fashion sense of a Sim. The "music" is too shy to music but the SFX are loud af.
Great execution, but boring, unimaginative and just… not engaging for me.
I would love to see that very same game in a different universe though. Horror Fantasy Western (i.e. Dark Tower), Jungle Pussypunk Postapo (i.e. Borderlands) or Violent Colorful Futuristic Metropolis (i.e. Fifth Element, Dredd, Demolition Man) just to name a few. It would allow for a more memorable experience imo.
I think my biggest complaint would be that the basic movement (when turning/going down stairs) is very sharp and unnatural. If the devs could smooth out the animations to look like RE1 remake (2002); considering all the other animations are really nice.
I know good animation for indie devs is one of the hardest things to do, actually for any devs of any size really. That one stickler point aside, everything looks really good.
14:34 "it's like they pushed everything aside to make room for something else"
For a dance party. Or an or gy.
Yeah, it was definitely an or gy.
First piece.
Last piece.
22:19 "ecoutes nous"
Ecoutes deez nouts, hippies

They boosted the graphics, but…seems like it lost an aesthetic it had going for it.
I don't know about the UK, but in the mighty USA, we have a National Rifle Association. They would say "Amen" at 5:43. Long live the Second Amendment!
Graphically it looks really good ๐๐ป
What i don't like is the combat, it's pretty horrible.

Me: what?

Ahhh the evil within lobby song playing here and there, the memories
I have never been a fan of fixed cameras, but this one looks pretty cool. Also, the company's name, Elseware, pretty cool too.
Still a big room for improvements.
This game seems very interesting in its narrative and mistery, but I agree that the combat isn't that great
Oh wow, it looks like this has come a long way.
3rd person life is strange.
The premise of this game is virtually indecipherable.
No demo/Beta ๐
Some things seems weirdly translated, like lighthouse date of commission is called "inauguration date". What, is a lighthouse a king now?
I misread "Waterspouts" as something else…
Where can I find the demo too play it ?
A beautiful game
This one is too much; picture perfect. ๐๐ป๐

She was sleeping wearing that gigantic fanny pack?
Fixed camera is always a good thing.

Also, "Let's put on some music."
ABG: "No." XD

Hi there! I can't find the demo on Steam. Someone got the same issue?
Interesting, but the combat is meh. A better example(old style) was Ico. Her movements seem also not that realistic, especially her stiff back.
