  1. I really liked the camera style, it reminded me of old Playstation games but with updated graphics, I don't know why but I really like it when they pick up some mechanics from an old games and add in current engines

  2. Its cool to see Parasite Eve gameplay style and, again, a "horror" game taking place in broad daylight and in well lit areas: yes!

Unfortunately, I find it too slow and predictable: the otherworldly-place-revealing-to-be-a-dream intro sequence followed by exploring a huge ass house flooded with exposition notes, post-it, photos and emails. Seen that dozens of time.

The layout art is nice, but I can't shake that feeling of watching a 90s Sierra point & click game. It seems off compared to the characters.

As for the tone, well. The protag has the charisma of a doorknob and the fashion sense of a Sim. The "music" is too shy to music but the SFX are loud af.

Great execution, but boring, unimaginative and just… not engaging for me.

I would love to see that very same game in a different universe though. Horror Fantasy Western (i.e. Dark Tower), Jungle Pussypunk Postapo (i.e. Borderlands) or Violent Colorful Futuristic Metropolis (i.e. Fifth Element, Dredd, Demolition Man) just to name a few. It would allow for a more memorable experience imo.

  3. I think my biggest complaint would be that the basic movement (when turning/going down stairs) is very sharp and unnatural. If the devs could smooth out the animations to look like RE1 remake (2002); considering all the other animations are really nice.

I know good animation for indie devs is one of the hardest things to do, actually for any devs of any size really. That one stickler point aside, everything looks really good.

Also, "Let's put on some music."
    ABG: "No." XD
