This is definitely not the most fun I’ve had trucking corn. Come along for the ride as I get towed off the shoulder of the highway by the biggest tow truck I’ve ever seen. Also, I try to use my new stock dog, Ruby, to load a bull into a trailer and it’s the beginning of maple syrup season!

You have to teach her to drive she was gathering to you
The are a lot of videos out there you can watch
Soo…is there a 'preferred' side to a tree trunk for tapping?
Frustrating enough, I'd rather one ride in the tow truck than Ron's oil pressure sensor troubles!
I liked the shot of the other grain truck passing you while you were being towed.
no shout out to mcdowell truck repair
work on trucks the last 14 years n14 are gret but there getting older great engine simple to rebuild good luck with the syrup
man a good set of chains on the front of that pickup are gold on ice for sure
Don't worry your dog will soon have you trained
All you need to do is train ruby with a “come behind” command so that she comes around and gets behind you, so you can start over.
You should have bought that fancy semi you borrowed last year…..
I don't know what kind of dog you got, but I guarantee you, border collies that chew and destroy everything need more human interaction to get rid of their crazy chew everything energy
You guys are still having winter. Here where I live in NC the maples are blooming, the daffodils are blooming, the willow trees have pale green cascades, and the forsythias are beginning to bloom and most of the flowering shrubs have very fat buds.
Punxatawny Phil shouldn't try to predict the entire country's arrival of spring. It's a no win situation.
Yesterday we visited a friend in town that has a custom built sugar shack. He taps 75 or more trees. In the shack, he has a huge stove made out of two oil tanks fashioned to burn pallet wood. Next to the shack, he had an insulated bin packed with snow to keep 10-32 gallon garbage cans of sap ready to boil off. For him is is a fun diversion.
In a season he does many gallons of syrup but gives most of it away because he does not want to deal with state and county regulators.
A great video and enjoyed watching you get towed LOL. Over all my 30 years of trucking guess I was lucky only had to get towed in only once.
You’ll get Ruby right before long. There’s another channel that is starting to use Precision Planting parts on their planter. Might be a good collaboration.
I always get a little jealous when you start your maple syrup. As usual though, I’ll be heading to a sugar bush this weekend. Great video, Carl.
