Broken Dewalt DCH253 SDS Drill arrived in pieces, assesse, repair, and rebuild.

This Dewalt DCH253 arrived in for repair already in pieces.
No number, no note, no idea what the original problem was.

All anyone can do is assess it, try to identify the original problem and another potential further problems, repair it and rebuild it.

Luckily this one was pretty obvious with a broken pin on the brush ring. But still no guarantee this was why it was sent in.

  1. I am wondering how did that brush terminal broke if customer did not open it.
Video shows that customers can not complain about missing or installing new parts.
    Good job as always.

  3. As always an encouraging video. I just wonder why you don't keep the format in landscape like TV? It looks so weird when I see portrait video on my TV. I do enjoy the content and wish you success. You might notice the view numbers are lower for the portrait format videos.Us arm-chair tinkerers are watching on the big screen 🙂

  4. What happens to all of these tools you fix? Do you have like the worlds largest private tool collection somewhere? 🙂 Also, how did you learn to do this? You seem to know all the details of every model of power tools.
