Not to speak out of line but this definitely has more to do with your handling rather than the brand.while no name cables do tend to have more failures mechanically and structurally you just midhandled the cable in a way even an official cable would've broken.
Yeah, I'm using aliexpress cheap $2 rca splitters to connect 4 studio speakers to my cheap logitech sub. I went to go move the sub from below my desk to on top of my desk the other day and almost broke the rca splitters in the same way you did with your A/V cable. I'm lucky I didn't completely break mine.
As someone who still owns a PS2, seeing the cables like that hurt my soul. Good luck trying to find the official cables, I was about to suggest you get something like the Pound PS2 to HDMI adapter but you’re going to be using the CRT.
Omg this actually happened to me with my N64. It happened with the av cables that CAME with the console. I was being a dork a tried to pull out the av cables by the cord and that was the result. Never did that again.
A trick that I've used that works great is to take a nail and heat it with a lighter, poke the white part of the pin and wait for it to cool, it sticks the plastic to the nail and it pulls right out
This just happened to me recently with an NES, trying to remove them I accidentally pushed the end further in to the AV port! But what did the trick was getting a fine pointed sewing needle hot with a lighter and poking it inside the broken prong. After about 5 seconds I was able to pull them right out. You are so right about these cheap 3rd party cables. Learned my lesson!
If you ever can't get it out with pliers you can take a needle and heat it up under fire and carefully push it into the inside of the pin and wait for the inside to melt and cool around the needle and then just slowly pull it out
What i would recommend is get a high quality short extension cable. That way if a cheap cable breaks off in the future and the pins aren't recoverable, its only the extension that is ruined.

My heart sank when I saw those AV cables, and even lower when they were still in the TV!! 😭😭 thank the heavens you got them out of there
if you cut replace the ends itle be fine
sorry that happened to ya, bud! i would’ve been panicking haha
This happened to me once. I had to take a drill to my RCA ports.
Don't do what I did, but it still works. Thankfully.
Thats almost worse than a kick in the basketballs.😢

Official Sony cables only break at the other end, thank you very much
Lmao you did that on purpose my dude. Stop lying
You broke those on purpose
Looks like Phillip Banks of FRESH PRINCE OF BELAIR LMAO 🤣
I cant find a decent New AV cable these days. Everything is bendy breaky these days..
They broke instead of bend because the pins aren't metal. They're plastic with a thin layer of metal over them.

I mean if you're going to buy official cables might as well spend $60 on some component cables instead so the picture quality is better
Hey man that happened to me once with a dvd player back then 😂
