Broken Blade of Ambition | Vexing Placoderm | Wicked Implement | Exotic Quest
Just a quick video showing the steps needed during the second week of the time-gated Exotic Quest for the Wicked Implement Exotic Scout Rifle.
The first Exotic Fish needed for this Quest is the Whispering Mothcarp, which became available in Week 5 (Throne World). The second Exotic Fish needed is Vexing Placoderm, which is available as of Week 6 (Nessus). The last Exotic Fish needed will be the Aeonian Alpha-Betta, which will become available next week (EDZ).
Once you get one of these Exotic Fish, deposit it at the H.E.L.M. to receive an item called a Broken Blade. It will appear in your Tackle Box inventory. From there, launch a Deep Dive. There are 3 Hive Statues. Interact with the corresponding Statues to deposit the Broken Blade pieces. You will need to do this at all 3 Hive Statues which will unlock the “Whetstone” encounter.
The Exotic Quest and Wicked Implement Exotic Scout Rifle should become available by Week 7.
