  1. This is actually connected to the theme of his character, but there is a moment in Ragnarok where Kratos asks Brok a question about Faye’s past after her death. Brok refuses to tell her literal widower about her private business cause he was told it was private. Just a very earnest and steadfast character

  2. Story elements aside. Its crazy how much better 2018 is than Ragnarok just because theres no playing as atreus. Having him essentially fill the role of a weapon is the perfect role. try And he makes a lot better character as a naive little kid instead of a naive yet super annoying teenager. Its hard to bond with him as a character, especially knowing the path and the wisdom kratos has and seeing him openly defy and sisregard his wisdom. Gameplay is kind of more fun but thats marginal at best.

  3. The scene in brocks funeral was one of the saddest scenes ever. Not just cause it was his funeral but also cause atreaus wasn’t there. How could Santa monica not have him there.

  4. Brok had nothing to hide at a table where almost everyone had some secret at the moment. He had no hidden or alternate motive. He just wanted to help his friends and Tyr just didn't feel like his friend I guess.

  5. Brok genuinely holds the title for the best character in the entire GoW franchise. Like I genuinely cannot think of a better character. He's funny, witty, rude but sincere, and just a nice guy. He even stumps Mimir with his riddle for the last half of the game.

Shame he was the one to die but as I've learnt with Cayde-6, it's the funny character that usually dies.. Though the GoW devs have more integrity than to bring him back to shill a new DLC, unlike Bungie.

  6. Because he cared a lot for the “little turd” and didn’t like seeing tyr disguise taking his progress as he did absolutely nothing. Finally, all this arguing and questioning broke Odin out of his disguise by way of frustration.

Brok expected results and only continued to doubt this tyr when all he was good for was cowardice and inaction. Everyone else was too busy desperate for tyr to finally come in and complete the prophecies with too much hope. It was Brok because he was the only truly pragmatic one outside of Kratos who was busy trusting his son's desperate hopes of tyr as the solution.

  7. Kratos knew from their first meeting that Brok was the type of person that was Blunt as a hammer and honest as a man could be.
He knew if he asked or said anything, there were no strings attached, plain and simple.
No wonder these 2 got along so well

  9. It's crazy how much of a better character Brok is compared to his brother. Like, just imagine writing for Brok, finding an emotionally deep and complex guy in your words, and then being stuck trying to write dialogue about things being yucky.

  10. Yea I cried, as a men sometimes it’s okay to open up but to be strong in doing so. This whole game is a therapeutic experience.

Every time I turn on the PS5 and get back in the game is like seeing in myself and find out what errors have I done that I can find peace.

  11. Have you ever read Kratos’ journal?? you didn’t mention it in this video but his entry on brok is sweet. All of the journal is written by Kratos it gives insight into his thoughts. Most of them are pretty funny

  12. It’s nice to know that the mature Kratos that we see in this new GoW shares the same sentiments towards weapons as Brok does in relation to that last line he spoke of in his blessing of the spear.

When asked by his son as to which of his legendary weapons was his favorite, Kratos (originally) replies that weapon are but tools and having favorites is pointless (until he relents and says he likes the axe—for sentimental reasons, perhaps)
