I can't understand why people complain about John Middlekauff. Maybe because he doesn't always tell fans what they want to hear?
My advice for Brock Purdy is to not try to force anything. If the chance to hit someone unambiguously with the ball is not there, RUN!!! There's also nothing wrong with punting. I hope that Shanahan will put some quarterback running plays in this game as an act of trying to do some things that the Chiefs have never seen on tape.

Everybody mentions Purdy's game against the Ravens no one mentions that Mahomes lost to the Raiders whose QB didnt complete a single pass for 3 quarters.

Middlekauff is just regurgitating what his new boss (Cowherd) has been spouting. He thinks KC will win a close game and he works backward trying to support that prediction.
Notice all these clowns going on as though Mahomes and the Chiefs are invincible. Don’t mention the fact that three years ago they were held to 3 field goals in a 31-9 Superbowl loss. Pretty sure Mahomes played in that game and he still had Hill. Or that both of his Super Bowl wins had controversial officiating late in 4th qtr that helped KC.
Dan Morgan is a Tepper in-house hire, so I wouldn’t expect much to change even if Tepper took a step back. One can assume that Morgan also wanted Bryce Young instead of CJ Stroud, which is why Tepper kept him around.

Its important to note that 49ers defense didnt go from good to bad for no reason. They lost Hufanga, who as we can see now was a hugeeeee part of their defense. If chiefs lost sneed their defenselive stats would go down too. Not disagreeing that the defense could be better, just saying hufanaga is missed and his impact ahould be noted.
