  1. Thank you for reminding everyone that this sport is played by real humans that all have their own hopes, dreams, and aspirations. These players are all someone's son or brother or father, putting it all on the line for our entertainment and to fulfill their dreams. Damar Hamlin is truly one of the best, trying to give back as much as he can to the community he grew up in. He looks so happy working for the kids in his community. Huge respect.

In regards to the 49ers, my absolutely favorite moment without a doubt was seeing Jordan Mason score his first TD. His excitement was just such an incredible thing to see, especially after he was so close to a big one in the game against Seattle. I watched the replay of his celebration with his team at least a dozen times, I love seeing that kind of excitement for this game.

  2. Thank you for pointing out my guy Mike McGlinchy. He was Mr Incredible against Crosby. Kinda looks like a GQ version of him too. I also really appreciated when you pointed out the Trent Williams designed block for Ray Ray McCloud. That was an amazing call and I was really surprised Ray Ray was caught by a linebacker. Las Vegas gave us all their best game. The breakdown of the screen to McCaffrey was like the cherry on top after seeing it on Sunday. How he side stepped, trucked and protected the ball was All Madden. This team is fun to watch win with Brock Purdy out there. He highlights Kyle Shanahan. He's it. Nick Bosa said it after Miami, "we got ourselves a quarterback." Happy new year

  3. And ANOTHER top analysis of a CLASSIC game! A big AMEN to Ken Dousa's great comments, to which I'd add Jordan Mason's first TD. He and Ray Ray have ARRIVED, and I hope they get more playing time next week, to rest McCaffrey for the playoffs. RESPECT to Raiders coming together for this game after all the drama off field. Davante Adams – wow! Kudos Josh re. Kyle's nod to Brock – NOT irrelevant EVERY WEEK๐Ÿ˜ƒ In my 50+ years as a 49er fan, we're lucky to be watching one the BEST TEAMS ever! TEAM in big BOLD letters.๐Ÿค  Just remember Madden's law – NO penalties.

  4. Major, MAJOR respect to the players for refusing to do so and standing up for their brother on the field and in the locker room. I wish Damar Hamlin a full and swift recovery, and all the best wishes for his family and friends both on and off the field.

On a less happy note, it's honestly disgusting that the NFL tried to make the players continue the game after a near life-taking injury like that. It shows that NFL management has no consideration or thought for player safety beyond maintaining the appearance that they do with the "protection" rules they implement for players on the field. But this display proved their protections are all for show.

  5. I'm glad you recognized the play of McGlinchy in this game. We fans have been critical of him in the past, but I think he did a great job on a really tough assignment in this game. Great analysis again!

  6. Josh, I don't think you have drawn the edge of the tackle box in the right place at 12:28 in the video. At 12:53, you can see that Trent's shoulder is lined up with the edge of the V, not the E. Ray Ray McCloud is the player lined up in front of the E. This does not invalidate your point about Brock's awareness.

  7. Hey Josh. I love your content and look forward to it every week! Please keep up the great work. One request though. Please stop using green arrows and lines. They get lost in the green grass and it's harder than it should be to follow you sometimes. Thanks!

  8. Purdys 38 yards passing in the first half really had me worried but him and the team pulled through. I'm really wanting this team to win the Superbowl cause it would be amazing but the odds are so against us and Brock. No matter what happens one things for certain and that is the 49ers have a young stud at QB in fact two of them but Purdy will be special for the 49ers.

  9. Nice analysis and use of film. Raiders playing at their ceiling are better than their record. The key is that the defense was loose on their assignments. Need to tighten up the glory ball stuff.

  10. Great video. I thought Shanahan messed up by not using those last 19 seconds of regulation to get the ball to the middle of the field for an easier FG. Rather than asking Gould to push it to the right.
