Can anyone contend with the us/uk military task force?
I believe the American equivalent to your British Special Reconnaissance Regiment is the US Army's ISA (Special Forces) and the US Army Rangers Regimental Reconnaissance Company. Much like it's British counterpart, they are little talked about but were involved with this task force.
I love being free. Thanks troops. Heart send
Watching this makes me even more prouder of my country and the Brits. Pride and loyal soldiers with one goal and making connections to our United Kingdom now family ❤
Never once doubted that the US had allies handeling shit over there but damn, y'all had a squad of soecial forces handeling what an army should've been doing. Ggs, special forces in general always amaze me.
Ryan, excellent commentary. Your enthusiasm and respect for these soldiers is infectious!!! Thank you!
The most I have seen handed out was 10,000
Yeah but recently Great Britain has fallen out of the top 10 militaries of the world with less than 35k active duty troops. Great Britain has cut its military spending down to almost nothing. Whats going on in England Ryan? Why is defense spending and military so small there?
If you’re in a war, the “moral high ground” is somewhere behind you. Get in, make the enemy quit, and go home. “Moral high ground” is for politicians and old veterans to lie about to historians.
You'd basically be the Marine equivalent of Rangers you definitely be kicking in some doors and some of you might be supporting higher up special more specialized Special Forces😂
Rambo card is do whatever it takes to get the job done. plain and simple😮
It doesn't matter how good you are you can be Rambo you can be the living in bodyment of death but you can still always catch that golden Bebe😢❤
I don't think there's anything wrong with that because it pushes the other military to do better and the other one to do even better
As an American, YES. A British Royal Marine should be kept in the cauldron of best in the world. Thank you, sir!
Bloods thicker than water.
Royal Marines would be like the Ranger batts, tier 2… Except the ranger reconnaissance det which is tier 1. Delta, Devgru etc are tier 1… US Army special forces except for delta are now considered tier 2
Royal Marines would be the equivalent of the 75th Ranger Regiment.
I'm so glad you brought up the "we do business and we do business together" bit.
Man, we show up, and we not only do business together, but we conduct the entire play together, but most importantly it is a fantastic play that is one to be emulated.
You need to watch and react to the fat electrician he does military history but like the most badass people and events that nobody talks about
I wonder on royal marines in us military being sf or not. I could see it being a special training school without actually entering special forces. Similar to going to air drop
British Royal Marine would Rank Tier 3 along with 82nd,101st, etc
The task force was made up of quite a few nations mostly American and Britain as the fighting force
If you want to see an interesting story about the Bounty program look up a man named Jonathan Idema. He was basically a wanna be special forces guy and con artist. Who went to Afghanistan as a private military contract and did a bunch of crazy stuff. He basically conned everyone over there. He had military generals thinking he was CIA. He had local governments and CIA personnel thinking he was special forces. It's an entire crazy story.
Probably the Royal Marines would be something akin to the U.S. Army Rangers. Where they are special forces adjacent. What I mean by that is Rangers are not technically special forces (or at least from civilian perspective not special forces). But they do fall under the U.S. Army special forces command. They are a support group. They tend to secure the areas where Special forces groups are operating. Lets say Delta is storming a Terrorist HQ to capture targets. The Rangers will secure the area surrounding the building to ensure that Delta doesn't have to worry about being surrounded by outside forces.
